I have precisely the same issue. Here is a related RedHat bug. It seems they fixed it, twice, and pushed two? patches upstream. The first attempt got merged, but their second more complete patch (that seems to address this scenario) seems to have gone missing.
Here is the RedHat bug report: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=517195 Edited: While following up, I realized that while the RedHat bug's commentary implies there was a later, more complete fix, I could not find any such patch attached to that bug report. ** Bug watch added: Red Hat Bugzilla #517195 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=517195 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1799268 Title: CIFS option 'cruid' does not appear to work properly with 'multiuser' and 'vers=1.0' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cifs-utils/+bug/1799268/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
