[Bug 870835] Re: flashplugin-installer still installs i386 plugin version, though native 64 bit plugin available

2012-02-16 Thread Wim Deblauwe
Is there a way to get back the previous i386 plugin? The problem is that
there is no 64-bit debug flash player available. Since I received this
update today, I can no longer debug my flash application. If I copy the
32-bit debug flash player to /usr/lib/flashplugin-installer/ like I used
to do before, flash no longer works in firefox.

I am using Ubuntu 11.10 64-bit.

[Bug 870835] Re: flashplugin-installer still installs i386 plugin version, though native 64 bit plugin available

2012-02-16 Thread Wim Deblauwe
I managed to find the workaround myself:

First install the 'nspluginwrapper':

sudo apt-get install nspluginwrapper

Then copy the debug player to the correct location:

sudo cp libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/flashplugin-installer/

Next, call nspluginwrapper:

sudo nspluginwrapper -i /usr/lib/flashplugin-installer/libflashplayer.so

I was thrilled to see that I immediately had a popup that my printer was

be fine.

[Bug 652963] Re: HP Deskjet 1050 scan scanning not functioning

2010-11-21 Thread Wim Deblauwe
I also get a HP Deskjet 2050, but it does not seem to work (I am on
Ubuntu 10.10). I tried to install hplip, but it says that I miss gcc,
while apt-get says that I already have the latest version installed. Any
thoughts on what I can try next ?

[Bug 572259] [NEW] Distribution upgrade to 10.04 fails due to /etc/environment contents

2010-04-30 Thread Wim Deblauwe
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: texinfo

There was the following line in /etc/environment:

export MAVEN_OPTS=-Xms512m -Xmx512m

the issue and I could upgrade again.
