RE: [Bug 904494] Re: Cheese aborts with the following error: Segmentation fault

2011-12-20 Thread Wim Jansen
Hello Marcel,

Sorry to bother you again, but I'm no longer able to connect to the call.
I have three links to the bug/call (from three different mails) that no longer
work:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/905972
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/905972/+attachment/2638378/+files/Stacktrace.txt
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/905972/+attachment/2638363/+files/CoreDump.gz

There is no way to change the status of the bug and I see no possibilities to
check
the data in the attachments, please let me know if there is any way you can
help me.

Kind regards and thanks in advance,

Wim Jansen

Thanks, I'm closing this bug report, then.

There's one more thing, though: Bug #905972 is currently still marked as
private, i.e. only you and members of certain teams can view your
report. It would be helpful if you check the attached files for any info
that you would not like to disclose (passwords, etc.) -- chances that
the files continue anything are rather low, however. If you do not see
anything of concern, mark the bug as public (in the upper right corner
of the bug page). If you are not sure, you can of course leave the bug
as private but this means only a restricted number of people will have
 access to it. Thanks again.

Hi Marcel,

Oh... I feel stupid, of course I should have logged in before trying to
access the bug, sorry...

Well I checked the data from the call and made it public, so you should
be able to look at it.

Thank you for all your help so far and kind regards,

 Hi Wim,

hmm, well, I can't access any of these links as well, but I suspected
the reason to be that the bug is private... Are you sure you are logged
into launchpad (there should be your name in the upper right corner)? Do
you find the bug if you click on your name and then switch to the Bugs
tab (which should show all the bugs related to your account)?

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
 better.
Can you reproduce this crash? If yes, please run
  sudo service apport start force_start=1
in a terminal (will ask for your password) and trigger the crash. This will
create a new bug report with information about the crash attached. Please
then reference the new bug number here. Thanks!

Thanks for the crash report, unfortunately, .crash files are difficult
to deal with directly. Could you instead double-click the file (or run
ubuntu-bug filename.crash if this fails)? This should start apport and
report a new bug with the information attached in a more convenient way.
 Thanks!
