Following a discussion on reddit it seems that this is the place where
to ask

There is an extension for Nautilus that I find very useful, which allows
to annotate file and directories in Nautilus
(https://gitlab.gnome.org/madmurphy/nautilus-annotations).
No Ubuntu/Debian packages are available as far as I know, however it is
possible to install it from source. Would it be possible to add this
extension to the official repositories?
