[Bug 1227211] [NEW] 12.10 to 13.04 upgrade failed

2013-09-18 Thread clueless wonder
Public bug reported:

Bug: /var/log/dist-upgrade/main.log and /var/log/dist-upgrade/apt.log
upgrade was aborted

The terminal asked me to report this bug when the upgrade failed.

But There was another problem, possibly related to my text turning to boxes:
Dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of libudev1:i386:
Libudev1:i386 depends on libc6 (= 2.17); however:
Version of lib6:i386 on system is 2.15-0ubuntu20.1

Once I updated again with apt-get update and then ran apt-get upgrade it
worked

Re: [Bug 1227211] Re: 12.10 to 13.04 upgrade failed

2013-09-18 Thread clueless wonder
I was trying to upgrade from 12.10 to 13.04 because my desktop text has
turned to small boxes. The upgrade still hasn't finished but it fixed the
text issue (for now).
It may not be a bug, the terminal told me to post it as a bug though so I
did. I suspect the reason that it reported as a bug was that there was a
problem related to the libudev dependencies before I tried to upgrade.
I'm not sure about this though

On Wednesday, September 18, 2013, Quinn Balazs wrote:

So this isn't precisely a bug. You needed to run apt-get update' and
apt-get upgrade in order to get the most recent version of libc6. The
version of libudevl that is used in Raring requires libc6 2.17.

Oggetto: [Bug 56787] Re: Sound Problem (caused by HyperTrasport) ali M5455

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it, because your description
doesn't yet have enough information.

Please include the following additional information, if you have not already
done so (please pay attention to lspci's additional options), as required by
the Ubuntu Kernel Team:
1. Please include the output of the command uname -a in your next response.
It should be one, long line of text which includes the exact kernel version
you're running, as well as the CPU architecture.
2. Please run the command dmesg dmesg.log and attach the resulting file
dmesg.log to this bug report.
3. Please run the command lspci -vvnn lspci-vvnn.log and attach the
resulting file lspci-vvnn.log to this bug report.

For your reference, the full description of procedures for kernel-
related bug reports is available at [WWW]
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeamBugPolicies. Thanks in advance!

[Bug 56787] Sound Problem (caused by HyperTrasport) ali M5455

2006-08-18 Thread Wonder
Public bug reported:

I have an asus k8u-x with amd sempron 64 bit 3300+ and if i set in the
BIOS the hypertransport up than 200Mhz Ubuntu does not reconnise my
audio chip (ali M5455) ...

Is HyperTransport supported by Linux ?.?

P.s. my cpu should support hyperTransport up to 800 Mhz,
i think, but i'm not sure about how hypertrasport worksand how to
correct set it .
