[Bug 936159] Re: Xorg freeze, radeon gpu lockup with softreset

2012-04-27 Thread Xavier Tardivel
I am affected with a stock Precise install. It seems to happen more
often when I am invoking the Workspace switcher or starting an
application, and for what it worth I also got a 6850 GPU.

[Bug 563021] Re: Nepomuk Strigi does not autostart

2010-04-14 Thread Xavier Tardivel
Rog131 on ubuntuforums.com suggest the problem might be linked to the
following patch :

kdebase-runtime (4:4.4.2-0ubuntu1) lucid; urgency=low
...
[ Jonathan Thomas ]
* Add kubuntu_89_strigi_ram_detection.diff. This will make Nepomuk disable
strigi on systems with less than or equal to 1GB of RAM, on its first
run. Users will still be able to enable it for themselves if they wish.

Indeed I have 1 GiB of RAM.

I have re enabled strigi from the configuration menu, and restarted.
After the following reboot, strigi is disabled again. Is this an
expected behavior ?

>From the description of the patch, it seems people should be allowed to
enable Strigi at startup even with RAM < 1 GiB.

[Bug 518481] Re: nepomuk:/ KIO slave does not work properly / does not exist

2010-02-25 Thread Xavier Tardivel
The problem is more like :

* In my home directory I got a subdirectory named "foobar"
* Using krunner (possibly dolphin serarch bar), I search foobar
* I got a nepomuk resource being displayed in krunner results named "foobar",
which is referring to my folder
* Clicking on it, Dolphin is automatically opened, (since it is a folder it
makes sense) and got the error message mentioned earlier.

Your message seems to imply that I should not be able to find a
"directory" if it is not tagged.

So the question remains : are folders supposed to be indexed as
resources by Nepomuk ? If yes, they should be displayed correctly. If
not, I should erase and reindex the content home, this time without
folders.

[Bug 518481] Re: nepomuk:/ KIO slave does not work properly / does not exist

As far as I can tell it only happens when opening a folder, for other
types of resources found by krunner, it works properly.

So it might as well be a problem on Dolphin's side.

[Bug 129388] Re: [GUTSY] ACPI: battery state reporting errors since 2.6.22-9

2007-10-18 Thread Xavier Tardivel
I don't think this is related to macbooks only.

I got similar problems on an ASUS laptop ( A4G ). It worked flawlessly
under 2.6.20 and is totally broken under 2.6.22-14-generic.

The battery level indicator returns "fully charged" while displaying the
battery being at 12%. ( acpi cmd returns the same thing. ) Maybe a new
bug should be opened related to "laptops" rather than macbooks.
