[Bug 1509596] Re: Second monitor blanks at login prompt

2015-10-31 Thread Yakov shafranovich
The following worked for me:

1. Install xserver-xorg-video-intel package and rebooting.
This showed output on the second monitor in lower resolution.

2. Adding higher resolution via xrandr:
sudo xrandr --addmode DP1 1920x1080

3. Using the Ubuntu settings, display module to switch to higher
resolution.

I am seeing a similar problem with NUC5I7RYH. Both monitors look find at
boot-up but one goes blank one you get to the login prompt for X
Windows. No flickering. Also on 15.10.

[Bug 361689] Re: hald segfault when using a raid volume

2009-04-24 Thread Yakov Shafranovich
Hi,

I upgraded today from Intrepid to Jaunty, and had the same problem with
no mouse/keyboard in X, and a message in system log about a segfault
with HAL. I am using software raid.

I downloaded and installed the package supplied by Chris and it works. I
hope this patch will be applied to the official package as well.

Thanks for the help!
