It occur in the previous version of Ubuntu.

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
 v3.14 kernel[0].

I'll do that, thanks for the pointer.

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
 tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not
boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as
Confirmed.

 Thanks in advance.

[Bug 386315] Re: Cannot start with KMS enabled with intel 82945G

2009-06-22 Thread Yann Simon
After installing the version 0.5.32 of usplash
(https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/usplash/0.5.32/+changelog - Run usplash
at the native resolution if KMS is available), I can boot with the option
splash.

But then, no gdm. I cannot switch to a VT. The computer is dead.
Magic keys do not work. I could only hard reboot.

Gdm appears, I can login, and KMS is enabled (the resolution of the

[Bug 352959] Re: paman crashed with SIGFPE in pa_cvolume_avg()

The error comes probably from the following line:

void SampleWindow::updateInfo(const SampleInfo i) {

[Bug 352959] Re: paman crashed with SIGFPE in pa_cvolume_avg()

2009-04-03 Thread Yann Simon
1. I tested the patch, but I could only test the case when the number of
channels = 0. I think that there is antoher problem with an used library
because we cannot get any information from the sound files.

2. I compared the ubuntu's version and the upstream one, and I did not
find any differences.

3. I did not find any tracking tool. I send an email to the author of
the project.

Thank you for the debdiff

2009-03-12 Thread Yann Simon
I got a beautiful patch by commenting out a faulting g_free()... ;)
Now nautilus is starting without crash.

It is not a real patch (I do not have enough knowledge for it), but it could
help to find the real cause.
The patch was build against the source package brasero-2.25.92.

You can mark this bug as duplicated if you want to, but I do not think
it is a duplicate.

As I explicitly wrote in the subject, this bus happens, even if nautilus
shows the desktop.

In Bug #325973, it is about:
When show_desktop is disabled...

[Bug 201395] Re: f-spot should obey umask

2008-05-07 Thread Yann Simon
The bug reported here (https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=MONO82632)
looks like the same.
The bug is marked as fixed in the buzgilla from novell but the problem still
exists with ubuntu hardy.

How can we check if the patch is applied in Ubuntu hardy?

[Bug 96267] [apport] epiphany crashed when asking for print preview

2007-03-26 Thread Yann Simon
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: epiphany-browser

I had mutiple tabs open.

I was on this page:
http://www.stadtplandienst.de/map.asp?sid=2a83af6c314503747558c8890acab0c2ix=249iy=1013grid=dedatlas10
I asked for a print preview.

And epiphany crashed.

When I re-open epiphany and re-asked for a print preview (same page as
epiphany re-opened all my tabs), everything was ok.

[Bug 91917] It should be possible to disable the PC speaker's beep

2007-03-13 Thread Yann Simon
Public bug reported:

The PC speaker's beep is very annoying.

When I disable it with gnome-sound-properties, I still hear it when I
shutdown or suspend my laptop.

The only solution is to blacklist pcspkr.

Using the command line is not a perfect solution, so I suggest:

- either it should be a way to do it without using the command line;
I think that gnome-sound-properties cannot do it, as it is launched user's
permissions.
So we need another tool (over-engineering...)

- other this module could be disabled by default;

- other this module could be disabled during startup, shutdown,
suspend...
