Apparently the fix only worked for about an hour and then the ~95% CPU
spikes error returned. The solution Lok posted
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ntfs-
3g/+bug/392204/comments/77) is still working.

Start thunderbird with -safe-mode and disable the extension. Bets option
for now as far as I know.
