[Bug 136323] mistake in /etc/init.d/dovecot file

2007-08-31 Thread zygfryd homonto
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: dovecot-common

after last upgrade of dovecot:

Commit Log for Thu Aug 30 20:42:41 2007

Upgraded the following packages:
dovecot-common (1:1.0.3-0ubuntu1) to 1:1.0.3-2ubuntu1

there is an error in /etc/init.d/dovecot file
the wrong line is:
CONF=/etc/dovecot/$NAME.conf

it causes that dovecot does not start while ubuntu starts
this is because the file calling this script is then /etc/rc2.d/S20dovecot so
dovecot tries to use config file as /etc/dovecot/S20dovecot.conf which is of
course not found
so the solution is to chage this line to:
CONF=/etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf

system: kubuntu gutsy tribe 5

[Bug 96542] last upgrade of 7.04 made KDE looking strange

2007-03-26 Thread zygfryd homonto
Public bug reported:

after last upgrade of 7.04 KDE menu looks horrible: all letters from menu with
underscores have different colors then rest of the letters
also in Desktop, when there is option Menu bar at top of screen chosen:
Current application's menu bar Mac OS style then there are exclamations marks
in Menu (left of every menu)

This is NOT RELATED to profile: I tried this in completely new user on my
machine - exactly the same behavior
Also booted in previous kernel - (Linux baboon.monkeys 2.6.20-12-generic #2 SMP
Wed Mar 21 20:55:46 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux) - does not change this bug
I don't know which info else should be helpful

it is reproducible 100%

if X is started by command startx with .xinitrc like below:

#!/bin/bash
exec startkde

then it gives error like at the beginning plus from terminal we can see:

[Bug 67398] Re: synaptic 0.58.7 and apt 0.6.45 don't follow pinned packages

2006-10-23 Thread zygfryd homonto
something is really wrong:
actions:
1-removed /etc/apt/preferences
2-removed /var/lib/synaptic/preferences
3-sudo synaptic
4-lock/unlock version - not accepting this command at all - no file
preferences appears in /etc/apt nor in /var/lib/synaptic

5-while manually creating preferences it looks only in folder:
/var/lib/synaptic as you said
6-no changes possible in preferences by means of gui-lock/unlock versions -
file preferences not changing at all
7-only manual changes in /var/lib/synaptic/preferences are visible in synaptic

Let me know if more info needed

[Bug 67398] Re: synaptic 0.58.7 and apt 0.6.45 don't follow pinned packages

2006-10-21 Thread zygfryd homonto
ups, it seems like synaptic does not read /etc/apt/preferences but
/var/lib/synaptic/preferences

it seems that if pinned in second file mentioned then synaptic works ok

[Bug 59983] Re: ndiswrapper in edgy broken

2006-10-17 Thread zygfryd homonto
and the problem is: while installing Edgy on the machine which has only WLAN
than not working ndiswrapper makes complete box unusable
so, where to find working package for ndiswrapper (and utils) ?
compiling from the source just after installation of fresh Edgy might fail as
there are no packages needed on installation CD (and no access to net)

thanks

[Bug 31416] Re: mysql support was detected but was not chooseable in heder configuration

2006-10-01 Thread zygfryd homonto
I have the same problem - phpinfo shows like this:

supported databases MySQL ODBC PostgreSQL Microsoft SQL Server
FrontBase Oracle 8 (oci8) Sybase-CT

so it does not seem to be problem with php itself

but egroupware setup shows:

Checking php.ini: include_path contain .:
ini_get('include_path')='.'
[Warning] Checking extension mysql is loaded or loadable: False

so ?
