[Bug 1825698] Re: Upgrade to 19.04 from 18.10 doesnt boot
Yes.. It looks like it is same problem. As the bug 1825420 referred to virtual ubuntu, I thought this requires separate reporting. [Bug 1825698] Re: Upgrade to 19.04 from 18.10 doesnt boot
Sorry I cannot add the log files now since i do not have the said kernel. I am running Ubuntu 19.04 now with 4.18.0-17. But I can tell you what the error message was. [Bug 1825698] [NEW] Upgrade to 19.04 from 18.10 doesnt boot
Public bug reported: Upgrade completes but shows error message that linux kernel 5.0.0-13 may not be in working state. After completion of upgrade Ubuntu doesn't boot at all.. Just shows few blank screens and hangs. I reverted back to my old kernel 4.18.0-17 that was in Ubuntu 18.10 and it booted fine.. Then I dleleted the new 5.0.0-13 kernel and headers. Now Ubuntu 19.04 boots fine with old kernel. I also tried reinstalling kernel 5.0.0-13. But faced same issue again. So again I went back to old kernel. [Bug 1311417] Re: poweroff/reboot/logout does not work
Yes I use unity. When I click the menu where I can see the suspend/logout/shutdown in the list. Suspend: works Logout: shows me the pop up box giving me an option to log out and switch user. when I click log out it does not work and brings me back to the desktop. Shutdown: also shows me the same pop up box with the option as log out and switch user. when I click its does not work. And also the lock screen also does not work I have raised a separete bug for that but did not get any response. The problem with the lock screen is when i click the screen turn black when i make a mose movment or a key press it brings back my desktop with out asking for my password. FYI I did set a password.
