2009-04-27 Thread aiyeou
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 274424 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/274424

I have same problem with 8.04 on a dell Optiplex. Here is my ALSA info
link:

http://www.alsa-
project.org/db/?f=c5b6a04d83c9aadf9ae353a941cccac295a89cb0

I noticed that the problem starts with Terminal Service Client connected
- which uses pulse audio.

[Bug 115702] Re: arrow keys and nav keys do not work

2008-10-12 Thread aiyeou
Updateto above post: This on an Intrepid Beta rls with Kensington
wireless kbd for MAC. I am using keyboard layout manager with: (from
setxkbmap -print):

xkb_keymap {
xkb_keycodes  { include "evdev+aliases(qwerty)" };
xkb_types { include "complete"  };
xkb_compat{ include "complete"  };
xkb_symbols   { include "pc+us(mac)+inet(evdev)"};
xkb_geometry  { include "pc(pc104)" };
};

[Bug 115702] Re: arrow keys and nav keys do not work

2008-10-12 Thread aiyeou
I am experiencing similar problem with arrow and navigation keys. Here
are my inputs from ev | grep -A2 --line-buffered '^KeyRelease' | sed -n
'/keycode /s/^.*keycode \([0-9]*\).* (.*, \(.*\)).*$/\1 \2/p':

113 Left
111 Up
116 Down
114 Right
118 Insert
112 Prior
117 Next
115 End
110 Home
119 Delete
80 KP_Up
88 KP_Down
83 KP_Left
85 KP_Right

but I can not use any of these inside xserver. They work fine i the
console root login.

[Bug 255008] Re: Up arrow key mapped to Print [screen]

2008-10-12 Thread aiyeou
None of these fixes worked for me on Intrepid beta. I tried both Dell
wired USB and Kensington MAC KBD.

Here are relevant inputs: setxkbmap -print
xkb_keymap {
xkb_keycodes  { include "evdev+aliases(qwerty)" };
xkb_types { include "complete"  };
xkb_compat{ include "complete"  };
xkb_symbols   { include "pc+us(mac)+inet(evdev)"};
xkb_geometry  { include "pc(pc104)" };
};

and xorg.conf

Section "InputDevice"
# generated from default
Identifier "Keyboard0"
Driver "kbd"
EndSection

The problem started after an update today, is also described here
http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/index.php?topic=3097316.0

Thanks for your kind feedback.
