[Bug 597476] Re: GeForce 7150M / nForce 630M uses an unusable resolution by default

2014-02-03 Thread Alex P
Tried to install Lubuntu 13.10, Linux Mint 16 XFCE or Cinnamon and had
problems launching the installer due to distorted graphics. Linux Mint
has compatibility mode that works fine for the installer. However after
installing and rebooting I get the distorted graphics again. The text
terminal (ALT+CTRL+F1) is more or less usable, but far from ideal.

The only to solve the problem for me was by using nomodeset in grub.

Hardware: HP Pavilion DV6700 with Nvidia Geforce 7150m/ nForce 630

[Bug 1234469] Re: Network does not come up after resuming from suspend.

2013-10-24 Thread Alex P
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1184262 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1184262

I experience the same problem occasionally, but with my wired
connection. Running nmcli nm sleep false helps to solve the problem.

[Bug 881236] Re: valgrind on amd64 no longer works with 32-bit binaries

2012-04-26 Thread Alex P
Also having this issue. I can't debug my LuaJIT program with this issue,
as LuaJIT's custom allocator is mandatory on x64 and Valgrind doesn't
track all errors when using it.

upgrading upower really helps? if i want it, do i need to compile it by
