update-manager fails to start with the message
'E:Encountered a section with no Package: header, E:Problem with MergeList
/var/lib/apt/lists/security.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_jaunty-security_restricted_binary-i386_Packages,
E:The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.'
Release: Ubuntu 9.04
Unable to get package version as apt-cache fails with the same message.
/etc/apt/sources.list attached - I can't see anything wrong with it but there
may well be an issue there...
