[Bug 1888101] Re: 'unsupported protocol' error when using PyMySQL
Hi, I had the same issue but I found a solution. I was creating a docker container based on ubuntu 20.04 and Python3.8.2. It installed openssl by default. The version from 2020-Mar-31 12:41:55 openssl-1.1.1f.tar.gz was giving me an this error: ssl.SSLError: [SSL: UNSUPPORTED_PROTOCOL] unsupported protocol (_ssl.c:1108). After looking for solutions, I found this link: https://cloudwafer.com/blog /installing-openssl-on-ubuntu-16-04-18-04/. In that link, you can find how to install openssl from the source. It shows you how to install the version from 2019-May-28 13:26:28 openssl-1.1.1c.tar.gz. First I built my container as originally and logged in and I followed the steps in the link. It solved my problem. The latest version from March 2020 was causing the issue. I added the lines of code below when building the docker container to automate the steps. See: RUN apt install build-essential checkinstall zlib1g-dev -y WORKDIR /usr/local/src/ RUN wget https://www.openssl.org/source/openssl-1.1.1c.tar.gz && tar -xf openssl-1.1.1c.tar.gz WORKDIR openssl-1.1.1c RUN ./config --prefix=/usr/local/ssl --openssldir=/usr/local/ssl shared zlib && make && make install COPY ./openssl-1.1.1c.conf /etc/ld.so.conf.d/ RUN ldconfig -v && mv /usr/bin/c_rehash /usr/bin/c_rehash.backup && mv /usr/bin/openssl /usr/bin/openssl.backup ENV PATH="/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games:/usr/local/games:/usr/local/ssl/bin" * Note that I created the openssl-1.1.1c.conf file before building the container. The file is copied from the same directory where the dockerfile is saved. Create the file with that name and paste this inside: /usr/local/ssl/lib I hope this helps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1888101 Title: 'unsupported protocol' error when using PyMySQL To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openssl/+bug/1888101/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1651704] Re: Overcloud deployment fails when node introspection is enabled
I've reproduced this locally running RDO from master. I have a ironic installation (a tripleo undercloud), and i've registered a node and instrospect it: This is how the node looks like from ironic perspective: $ openstack baremetal show e14be55d-8dd9-4b08-aa5d-efab2b5a5c01 This command is deprecated. [Bug 1584522] Re: [UIFe] Don't show GNOME Books by default
I think that until GNOME Books doesn't support .epub files, there's not a big gain in displaying it. I think Evince should be used to open .djvu files, as the DJVU file format is usually used for compressed scanned books (or that's my experience, at least), so from a UX point of view, it should be handled by the same program that handles PDFs. I personally do use Books for its amazing features regarding collections (inherited from Documents, of course), but as you said, it's not a good idea to have the app if it shows files it can't open. Hopefully, this will be fixed soon when native ePub/MOBI support comes to GNOME Books. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1584522 Title: [UIFe] Don't show GNOME Books by default To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-gnome/+bug/1584522/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1578610] Re: Ubuntu 16.04 - Bad support for Intel Wireless 7260
Hi Corey, As you can see from the previous messages, Fix Released just means that the bug has been fixed in the latest upstream kernel (v4.6) that I tested. After testing the kernel v4.6 I also verified that the Intel Wireless 7260 support is not an issue anymore, starting from the kernel v4.4 (I had 4.3). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1578610 Title: Ubuntu 16.04 - Bad support for Intel Wireless 7260 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1578610/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1577599] Re: [CM1855, Realtek ALC892, Green Line Out, Rear] Sound is distorted / Audio Notification unstable (Popping in/out)
After looking through other distros, this is a widespread bug. I've tested Ubuntu Mate 16.04 and the same issue persists, instead of notification, the audio cuts off at times. Another distro i've tested is ChaletOS, the notification is constant in this one and same audio issues persist. I would recommend switching this to critical. http://i.imgur.com/FXPqPs8.png I did not screenshot the Mate distro since I dont have a lot of time in my hands, but you can technically see that in ChaletOS, its also affected. Which leads that my current setup is incompatible with any new current linux distros. Lastly, there is some sort of Bluetooth bug as well. This computer does not have any sort of WIFI/Bluetooth capabilities that I'm aware of in Windows. So, the issue is bigger than I thought it would be. I will continue to analyze further. Thanks everyone for the fast notice. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1577599 Title: [CM1855, Realtek ALC892, Green Line Out, Rear] Sound is distorted / Audio Notification unstable (Popping in/out) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1577599/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1565560] Re: yelp still using old GNOME logo
As Tim has commented, Yelp is an important part of stock GNOME, and it should remain untouched. Technically, you could have XFCE, KDE, etc programs in your Ubuntu GNOME machine; having a branded Help application may lead to misunderstandings, as a user may think it will contain documentation for all the programs, when this is clearly not true. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1565560 Title: yelp still using old GNOME logo To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-gnome/+bug/1565560/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1404028] Re: Illegible dark blue text on grey background
I think I've found the problem in the code. Any way, reading the code, I've realised that maybe we are using the colours wrongly. The bright colour (referred as blue in the code) should be actually the brightest and the dark colour (referred as brown in the code) should show the operations. In the attachment, the top image is how Plymouth would look if we fixed the dark colour, and the bottom image is how it would look if we also fixed the hierarchy of the colours. Is the dark (aka brown) colour clear enough or should the colour be more prominent to improve reading? ** Attachment added: g6670.png https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-gnome/+bug/1404028/+attachment/4315201/+files/g6670.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1404028 Title: Illegible dark blue text on grey background To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-gnome/+bug/1404028/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1411839] [NEW] Upgrading from 2:2.99.910-0ubuntu1 to 1.3 breaks dual monitor configuration
Public bug reported: Fujitsu Celsius H Series (Intel Core I7-4700MQ) with Nvidia Quadro K1100M/PCIe/SSE2 After upgrading from 1 to 1.3, the dual monitor support does not work properly anymore. On the Secondary monitor is shown a black vertical line and the cursor moves very slowly. Downgrading solves the problem. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1411839 Title: Upgrading from 2:2.99.910-0ubuntu1 to 1.3 breaks dual monitor configuration To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1411839/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1404744] [NEW] Moka icons are outdated
Public bug reported: I've noticed that Moka icons are outdated and use a very old version of the Moka icon template. So that, I decided to modify the current implementation and updated the graphical appearance to match the current moka-icon-theme. I've attached an archive containing the modified files.
