[Bug 544496] Re: [RS100] desktop became slow after upgrading to Lucid

2010-05-28 Thread anavarrog
Kernel 2.6.34 installation worked on Radeon Xpress 200M. No more black
screens. After disabling composition i can play videos on fullscreen at
normal speed. With composition enabled, fullscreen playback is slower

[Bug 417757] Re: [karmic regression] all network apps / browsers suffer from multi-second delays by default due to IPv6 DNS lookups

2010-03-02 Thread anavarrog
I agree with Ricardo Fernández and Yermo. This problem is not fixed. I'm
still experiencing it in every wireless network i try to connect any of
my laptops using ubuntu/kubuntu karmic. Airports, libraries, museums...
always the same problem. I've stopped using linux in laptops because of
this crap.

[Bug 511443] Re: Namoroka broke Firefox, no icon, no Java.

2010-01-25 Thread anavarrog
I'm having the same problem with kubuntu karmic koala. I've installed
sun-java6-* packages, including sun-java6-plugin, and created a symlink of
libjavaplugin_oji.so in the mozilla's plugins directory:
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
and firefox's:
/usr/lib/firefox/plugins
but nothing works. If I try to open an applet with firefox it says, "missing
plugin". I opened "about:plugins" and I didn't found java plugin. Finally i
tried to open an applet with google-chrome and it worked. Mi system:
Dist: Ubuntu Karmic Koala
Kernel: 2.6.31-17-generic
Firefox / Namoroka version: 3.6.1pre
