[Bug 1294899] Re: Import saved VPN connection has been Recently Broken

2014-05-01 Thread astepintothedark
To manually run OpenVPN and use .ovpn files, just run:

sudo openvpn (path)/example.ovpn

The only catch is that you have to modify your .ovpn file to use
absolute paths.

I can confirum network-manager-openvpn does not work, but connecting
manually does.

[Bug 1314882] [NEW] Cannot add OpenVPN connection manually -- CA options appear to loop

2014-04-30 Thread astepintothedark
Public bug reported:

Manually adding connection doesn't seem to work. When I click to add a
certificate, the application slows down and the selected cert appears to
alternate between user cert, ca cert, and private key; e.g.,
example.p12 appears in User Cert then moves down to ca cert and
disappears from User Cert, and continues to loop this process through
each option.

The application becomes useless and I'm unable to continue adding a
connection.

** Affects: network-manager-openvpn (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

One more note: I had this issue running Ubuntu 8.04 for x86. Just in
case that helps.
