[Bug 993187] Re: ubuntu 12.04 completely freezes frequently.
Hi Rabit. For me it's the same with Kubuntu or Mint. It does not seem to matter. I didn't try any other distros, though this problem certainly motivates me. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/993187 Title: ubuntu 12.04 completely freezes frequently. [Bug 993187] Re: ubuntu 12.04 completely freezes frequently.
My version of this bug: complete freeze: no tty, no ssh. happens almost exclusively when screensaver starts or similar power-management related stuff. (turning everything related to power-management off did not help though.) Happens only with my EVGA GeForce GTX 560Ti graphics card. Tried differnt kernels and many Nvidia drivers. None was stable. I'm using the onboard graphics for now, and will try again later with new drivers and kernels. I'm on 12.04 and have to stay til next LTS. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/993187 Title: ubuntu 12.04 completely freezes frequently.
