[Bug 607796] Re: Dragging and holding a selection over an entry in the Launcher should spread out windows belonging to that application
@johnlea: The main issue we have is with application support, but this is something app authors need to fix on a per app basis, not something we can fix in the shell. I'm not a programmer, but I doubt this, as AWN Dock handles the issue without any problems. To me this indicates, that this is not a really enormous bug, that could not be solved in Unity. I'm on Ubuntu 11.10 by the way. Also, depending on filetype, Unity just greyes out some applications (when you try to drag a file), which seems like a much more complicated (and restrictive) feature to me. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/607796 Title: Dragging and holding a selection over an entry in the Launcher should spread out windows belonging to that application To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/607796/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I read an easy fix for this, which worked for me. In my case, the error was caused because of some chromium-related processes were stuck in the background. So: 1. I'm fully agree with atie. All this fonts which is in recommends to ubuntu-desktop should be Recommends or Depends for language-support-* packages. Not to ubuntu. Big part of ubuntu users need only Latin fonts. The rest is installing their language support package. According to me i'm wiping all this xfonts* packages except -base and just installing msttcorefonts which is suite all my needs. First of all it will decrease base desktop install size. Second it will make list of fonts smaller. Third it will reduse download and installation time for users who is installing ubuntu via http//ftp. -- More granular font selection for the default install https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/42926 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a direct subscriber. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 99978] Re: gnome-terminal has no abbitily to disable close button on tabs
yes, i add few comments with attached patch. Thanks for the help. Lets see how it will be. The better thing for a whole gnome environment is a global variable in gtkrc which will handle to process of displaying close buttons on tabs. I was a bit surprised about a fact that GtkNotebook has no builtin abbility to make close buttons or tab icons itself. And thats why all applications which use GtkNotebook have different implementations of tabs behavoir. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntu-desktop 1. ubuntu-desktop always depends on a big pack of internation fonts. This fonts use more then 100Mb of space and also big count of fonts in the system slow down the work of freetype. sorry, all this stuff is already in recomends. i just commented out the setting of apt to install recomended packages. But what depends on 1) i think this a really good idea to put ttf- as a depends to a language-pack- package. If developers dont think so, bug can be closed.
