[Bug 153118] Re: Feature request: zoom picture to fit screen

2008-04-06 Thread b sanders
Why would someone want this?

Because it's annoying to have to hit shift-x every time i close the
image viewer and open into another folder. Because it's a simple feature
that SHOULD be part of any image management program.

Not having this feature makes gthumb like the quicktime of linux image
viewers - circa 1998. Remember that? Full screen meant watching a
320x240 postage stamp centered in the middle of a 17 screen?

Enlarging an image doesn't always produce garbage anymore than watching
a 640x480 video on a 2580x1920 resolution monitor results in bad video.
And people DO use image viewers to browse images at full screen size.
If you are an adult, you should intuitively know why.

'nuff said.

[Bug 89712] Re: Invisible windows when desktop effects is enabled

2007-03-22 Thread b sanders
Have also experienced this behavior in gqview. It is not consistent and
I have not been able to reliably produce the effect, but I have seen it
happen. I am using an intel 945 system with onboard intel graphics
adapter.

[Bug 61951] 965/x3000 video not supported

2006-09-22 Thread b sanders
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-driver-i810

using on-board video with 965 chipset results in error no screens
found. This appears to be due to support for the chipset not being
compiled into the driver itself. This happens with any kernel and any
version (hoary, dapper, etc) I have tried.
