Re: [Bug 289063] Re: Totem cant play from iPod

2010-05-07 Thread b3n87
Hey,

Just tired it. Totem open's up the file select dialog, but you can't really
choose a file because of the way the iPod structures its folders.

Ideally it should prompt to open Rhythmbox, or not be listed at all. Nothing
serious. Maybe a paper cut for next time?

[Bug 410617] [NEW] Update F-Spot to 0.6.0

2009-08-08 Thread b3n87
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: f-spot

Here is the NEWS file:

f-spot 0.6.0.0 - Aug 07 2009 - Sliced

no longer depends on libeog
fighting against deprecation, on the path to gnome3
new viewer widget
new widget showing folders organisation
new Preference dialog
db and config moved to .config (or whatever is pointed by xdg config)
tons of bugs fixed (really)
updated translations

Nothing massive on the UI front, but apparently lots of bugs have been fixed

[Bug 289055] Re: Fan constantly on

2008-10-26 Thread b3n87
Why has this been fixed? Has the 177 driver been fixed? The 177 driver
needs to be fixed for sound through HDMI, 173 does not support this.

[Bug 274081] Re: Elisa should be updated to 0.5.11

2008-09-29 Thread b3n87
0.5.13 is to be released on 2008-10-06 - maybe we could just upgrade to
that?

Its all mainly bug fixes with minimal features added, nothing major what

else see why we shouldn't update?

[Bug 164728] Can't Boot LiveCD With Powercable Plugged In Laptop

2007-11-23 Thread b3n87
Public bug reported:

When booting Gustys 32bit LiveCD, it drops to terminal after reporting
the following errors:

SQUASHFS error: sb_bread failed reading block 0x989c1
SQUASHFS error: Unable to read fragment cache block [2626b921]
SQUASHFS error: Unable to read page, block 2626b921, size 4ea7
SQUASHFS error: sb_bread failed reading block 0x989c1

Fedora 8 Gnome failed to boot as well, Fedora 8 KDE did, and Kubuntu failed to
boot. PCLinuxOS boots but fails to install.
This is with the power cable plugged IN. KDE distros appear to handle it better
than GNOME. (possibly, im not certain)

To install Ubuntu on my Santa Rosa chipset laptop, I had to fully charge
it, boot from the LiveCD which worked fine, and install, which had no
errors.

If the power cable is plugged IN, and im ripping a CD in Sound Juicer it
drops to 0.8x times speed also DVD playback becomes jerky. I believe
this is to do something to do with DMA. When the the laptop is running
off the battery I can get almost 12x times ripping speeds and DVD
playback is fine with no jerkyness at all.

My laptop spec can be found at this website:

http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?NNB-577

it doesnt state it on the website but it is a PM 965 Chipset.

I am very willing do post more information, and help with any sugestions
on how to get this fix, or supply you with more information.
