[Bug 1641290] Re: [04f3:0903] Elan Microelectronics Corp fingerprint reader not recognised

2018-05-02 Thread Jose Baeza
Now I get this message:

"checking for LIBUSB... no
configure: error: Package requirements (libusb-1.0 >= 0.9.1) were not met:

No package 'libusb-1.0' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables LIBUSB_CFLAGS
and LIBUSB_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details."

BUT, libusb-1.0.0 it IS installed! Sorry. I haven't used the console in
the past 6 years!

[Bug 1310044] Re: Touchpad horizontal swipe not working

2014-04-21 Thread Pedro Manuel Baeza
Please check this for a workaround:

http://itsfoss.com/enable-edge-scrolling-ubuntu-1310-quick-tip/

A possible fix would be to detect if touchpad has multitouch support and
then enable this option based on this.

Regards.

He probado desactivando el acpi, y entonces si que luce el teclado, pero se
añade el problema de que no se detecta la batería...

[Bug 206346] Re: evolution will not connect to exchange 2007 server

2010-11-13 Thread baeza
Nope. Developers are going to work (not yet I think) in EWS. This could help,
as Exchange 2007 has EWS support (also Exchange 2010) and it is quite easy in
OWA enabled servers to activate EWS for remote access.
I agree that this bug is unsolved, as MAPI access is not for remote access.
Davmail is not working in my case.
EWS will solve the problem of remote access for Exchange 2007 and 2010, so
let's hope we get it soon!

[Bug 452323] Re: kvm disabled in bios (was: Unable to start EUC instances - no supported architecture for os type 'hvm')

2010-10-28 Thread Alex Baeza
I am having the same issue, and after several hours of research spread
across several days, I've come to this bug.

I agree with mohanv in that it should not have let me setup the node if
it won't work with UEC.

If kvm requires hardware supported virtual machines hvm, (as indicated
here: http://open.eucalyptus.com/forum/problem-node-registration), then
I would like to request that the node installation process either:

A) Prevents you from installing and gives you an explanation (you hardware is
not compatible: hvm required for kvm)
OR
B) The node installation asks if you would like to use xen.

2009-11-08 Thread baeza
Activating 'karmic-proposed' and 'karmic-backports' I installed
2.26.31-15 kernel automacally. Now my E169 works perfectly. I can read
in-built CD-data and use the SD-storage with a 16 Gb Micro-SD card ...
and 3G modem works perfectly. But kernel.log (dmesg) shows an error:

[Bug 206346] Re: evolution will not connect to exchange 2007 server

2009-05-10 Thread baeza
After using for some days, Exchange-MAPI works only through MAPI in
Exchange 2007. It does not work through OWA!!! If you need to connect
using OWA with Exchange 2007 YOU CANNOT, neither through Exchange
connector nor through Exchange-MAPI.

Please unmark this bug as 'Fixed' because Eschange-MAPI DOES NOT fix the
problem, only gives another way to conect to Exchange that is not always
possible to use (MAPI), as Exchange-MAPI configuration is very poor,
only valid for local Exchange servers.

Didn't work for me (Acer Warplink 802.11B usb). Previously, I had to
"ifdown" manually after disconnecting the device. After updating the
modules and the file in /etc/modprobe.d, the device still is recognized
in lsusb, but is not configured at all, in spite the configuration is
manually set up in /etc/network/interfaces file. Commands ifconfig and
iwconfig don't show the device.

Fortunately, I backed up the original files !
