It's possible that local servers are not synced with the main server?

this user can mount ntfs external hard drive but directory content is
not visible. On the other hand if I mount the drive as root all works
well.In any case user has to be able to mount automatically external usb

Now it prints! I've simply reinstalled the printer after that you have
suggested me that the driver was not right.I suppose it was an update problem
cause I'm sure that I've chosen on Officejet 5600 driver!
Thank you

Pascal De Vuyst <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ha scritto: The printingbug info output

Did you select the OfficeJet 9100 driver manually or was it suggested
automatically?

Ok, when I try to listen an mp3 amarok crashes immediately or let me see the do
you want to install mp3 support ? And I can't press the button cause the button
doesn't work:It's all stopped with the status (in Amarok) creating playlist.
I have to manually install libxine1-ffmpeg and after that it works without any
further problem.
This problem was not present in the just previous ubuntu version of amarok.

Hi,
this the output when I launch "hp-toolbox" from console:

error: PyQt not installed. GUI not available. Exiting.
error: PyQt/Qt initialization error. Please check install of PyQt/Qt and try
again.

Need you something more?

Looks like a cupsys problem, it would be nice if you could provide the complete
CUPS error_log.
Therefore edit the /etc/cups/cupsd.conf file, find the section "loglevel"
change "info" to "debug" save and exit then restart cups:
$ sudo /etc/init.d/cupsys restart
Try to print something
Attach /var/log/cups/error_log

[Bug 83411] Re: It doesn't print

2007-02-06 Thread bertoldic
I haven't fixed the problem in previous versions cause it worked by itself.
In feisty herd 3 printer doesn't print neither if connected from the beginning.
The file is /etc/cups/printers.conf is...empty! But the printer is installed
from the control center

[Bug 81625] Still problems with update-manager in Italian, in Feisty

2007-01-26 Thread bertoldic
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: update-manager

I don't know why there are so many problems with the update-manager in Italian
since Edgy.
Now in Feisty there are the same problems:
the update-manager finds updates but doesn't install them.
A probably working fix is present in the ubuntu italian community:
www.ubuntu-it.org
Check it and let me know.
Thank you for your work.
You are the best ;-)

[Bug 61989] Message too long

2006-09-23 Thread bertoldic
Public bug reported:

When I try to connect to internet dhclient says to me
send_packet:"Message too long".

I've found the problem and also the solution.
The problem is the wrong MTU parameter it is normally set to 64 while it should
be around 1500.
Besides the file /etc/dhcp3/dhcp.conf has a wrong parameter "interface-mtu".

So the solution is remove the parameter "interface-mtu" in the file
/etc/dhcp3/dhclient and set the parameter MTU to 1500 doing ifconfig
eth0 mtu 1500.

Many users in Italy have this problem with their router, please see www
.ubuntu-it.org in the section related to edgy.
