[Bug 604525] Re: nvidia-settings Configure Display Device menu should be drop-down list instead of dialog box
I agree that I shouldn't have posted it as a paper cut. Here's a screenshot of the nvidia-settings window, the pointer is on the button that launches the dialog box. ** Attachment added: Screenshot-NVIDIA X Server Settings.png http://launchpadlibrarian.net/51773238/Screenshot-NVIDIA%20X%20Server%20Settings.png -- nvidia-settings Configure Display Device menu should be drop-down list instead of dialog box https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/604525 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 595265] Re: Can not add Facebook account as add button not displayed after authorisation.
@Omer: I doubt it the problem lies with facebook authentication. After logging in, the Accounts dialog box of Gwibber confirms that authentication has succeeded (see attached screenshot). If you (or someone else) wants some data to confirm this, I have captured the network traffic between Gwibber and Facebook with Wireshark. I won´t post it here, though. ** Attachment added: Screenshot-Gwibber-facebook.png http://launchpadlibrarian.net/50492512/Screenshot-Gwibber-facebook.png -- Can not add Facebook account as add button not displayed after authorisation. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/595265 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 235946] Re: No Appropriate Viewer Error in Hardy 64
I have th-e same problem that klnusbaum reports, on Hardy AMD64. I tried to install the backports version of flashplugin-nonfree (10.0.1.218+10.0.0.525ubuntu1~hardy1+really9.0.124.0ubuntu2), but I get the no appropriate viewer after the installation. -- No Appropriate Viewer Error in Hardy 64 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/235946 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 118983] Re: compiz java windows always grey
Until 6u10 becomes available, a temporary workaround may be openjdk: sudo aptitude install openjdk-6-jre sudo update-alternatives --config java and select openjdk. For me, this appears to fix the grey dialog box problem, but fonts are rendered differently, which looks weird. To have Netbeans use the openjdk instead of Sun's Java, I had to edit /etc/netbeans.conf and modify the line netbeans_jdkhome=/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun into netbeans_jdkhome=/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk -- compiz java windows always grey https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/118983 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 204527] Re: Image on webcam is upside-down
This depends on the driver/kernel module, in your case uvcvideo (in my case stk11xx). The developers of uvcvideo apparently haven't implemented this option, those working on the driver I use have. I guess you're stuck... -- Image on webcam is upside-down https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/204527 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 204527] Re: Image on webcam is upside-down
Okay. Does the first part of method 1 work (echo 1 ... etc.)? If so, you could try to replace stk11xx by uvcvideo in method 2 and see how that works. I tried to find documentation on the available options of the uvcvideo kernel module, but couldn't find much. So, I don't know if the vflip option is available for your driver. Maybe you should contact the developers of the uvcvideo driver at http://developer.berlios.de/projects/linux-uvc/ -- Image on webcam is upside-down https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/204527 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 204527] Re: Image on webcam is upside-down
I have the same problem with a Syntek webcam (in a Packard Bell EasyNote MX66-205). The device ID in my case is 174f:a821. Here' s a workaround: 1/ Temporarily flip the image (until reboot): $ echo 1 /sys/class/video4linux/video0/vflip Or you can try: $ sudo rmmod stkxx11 $ sudo modprobe stkxx11 vflip=1 2/ Permanent solution: (1) sudoedit /etc/modprobe.d/stk11d (2) paste the following line in that file: options stk11xx vflip=1 (3) reload the kernel module sudo rmmod stkxx11; sudo modprobe stk11xx Hope this helps!
