[Bug 412907] Re: X crashes and system is only responsive via sys-req on keyboard

2009-11-11 Thread bomanizer
I don't know if this is of interest anymore, but I'm confident that I
can 100% reproduce the crash.

I suspect this bug on my T61 running Linux Mint 7 (Gloria). Is there any
chance that this will be fixed for Jaunty?

[Bug 261450] Re: brightness Applet very slow and processors getting bisy when try adjust LCD brightness

2009-03-17 Thread bomanizer
Hi, I'm having this issue also on a T61. It seems to happen after
resume, as Jeremy wrote. Running top at the same time as fiddling with
brightness puts Xorg on the top of the list.

2008-12-16 Thread bomanizer
Similar story. I'm on a Thinkpad R50. Resume is always successful, but
sometimes hibernate fills the screen with error messages about
allocating swap. I can't find a log entry for that, perhaps someone can
point me to the right place?

[Bug 242638] Re: Thinkpad freezes when undocking from Ultrabay if CD/DVD-ROM drive has not been deleted manually

2008-10-08 Thread bomanizer
snowstar1963, does the hdd get powered down after unmounting the drive
and pulling the lever? Mine doesn't. Although the system doesn't freeze
the drive makes a nasty sound when unplugging :(

I'm not sure, but I think this came about after some updates, especially
since the kernel got to version 2.6.27-6.

At the moment, I don't feel safe removing my 2nd hdd without doing:

# echo 1 > /sys/class/scsi_device/X\:0\:0\:0/device/delete

(as root, not sudo)

I installed the Intrepid beta a week ago. The ultrabay works out-of-the
box at the moment. I've been applying updates as they come available
with update-manager and also no problems.
