[Bug 243344] Re: scim-bridge crashed with SIGSEGV in scim::IMEngineInstanceBase::get_frontend_data()

2010-04-14 Thread Bomber Cheng
This is my workaround to solve the scim crash (use scim-immodule as the
xinput). Not sure is it help to solve this bug.

First, install scim-immodule as alternative, replace zh_TW with your locale, if
you use english, it can be all_ALL
sudo update-alternatives --install /etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/zh_TW xinput-zh_TW
/etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/scim-immodule 10

then config it
sudo update-alternatives --config xinput-zh_TW
or
sudo im-switch -s scim-immodule

then create a file /etc/profile.d/scim.sh with -rw-r--r-- root root permission
add this three line
export xmodifie...@im=scim
export GTK_IM_MODULE=scim
export QT_IM_MODULE=scim

Lastly, i can see inside /etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/scim, the module is xim
instead of scim. I am not sure is this make the problem.

Hope someone find this useful, at least user level.

[Bug 307181] Re: gimageview cannot open rar files

2008-12-12 Thread Bomber Cheng
unrar is installed.
I have uninstalled the compiled version (make uninstall) before installing
gimageview 0.2.27-2ubuntu1.

Since gimageview 0.2.27-2ubuntu1 failed in rar, i tried to recompile gimageview
from tarball. But it failed.
Source (gimageview-0.2.27.tar.gz) was patched against
gimageview-0.2.27-gtk12_fix.diff , gimageview-0.2.27-sort_fix.diff and
gimv-options-segfault.diff.

Result of configure and make are inside the attachment.

Please help. I think there is changes in gtk which stop gimageview from
working.

[Bug 252144] Re: alt tab lock gnome-terminal

2008-11-25 Thread Bomber Cheng
Upgraded to Ubuntu 8.10 AMD64.
The problem still exists.
Can someone confirm this bug?
Firefox 3 should be the root of cause; If there is no instance of firefox3
running, alt + tab wouldn't make any problem.
