[Bug 732147] [NEW] package fglrx 2:8.801-0ubuntu3 failed to install/upgrade: fglrx kernel module failed to build
Public bug reported: Tried to install fglrx a couple of days ago using, terminal, synaptic and software center. No method worked. Msg. was 'Failed to install package' Today, package fglrx showed up in update manager and wouldn't install but apport generated this crash report. Reason for trying to install: using the non-proprietary driver for ATI radeon xpress 200m; laggy screen render at times, random system freezes (screen will display a series of white and green lines, system completely hung), 3d hardware acceleration would be nice. Re: [Bug 251980] Re: Firefox crashes at http://www.world-mysteries.com/sar_3.htm
I haven't tried to reproduce the bug. The laptop I was using when that happened is down currently as I cracked the case and the computer shop hasn't been able to locate a replacement. I don't use Firefox or Konquerer anymore anyway on any of my systems as I found that Epiphany works better for me. Sorry it took so long to get back with you. [Bug 37929] Re: [HARDY] Logitech mouse goes crazy
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 119194 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/119194 I have solved this bug on my system!! Solution: Do NOT use Firefox. Do not open Firefox. For the last two days I have only used Epiphany and my mouse has performed properly and flawlessly. On the first day I saw that Epiphany wasn't giving me any trouble so I opened up Firefox just to see what would happen. Bam, immediate problems. I did a reboot and haven't opened Firefox since. haven't had any problems. Plus, it seems to me that Epiphany is faster than Firefox and definately uses less resources. [Bug 37929] Re: [HARDY] Logitech mouse goes crazy
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 119194 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/119194 I've been having this problem for a while now, I posted a thread here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=5730687#post5730687 This bug is system wide and affects right and left click, I've yet to see it affect the scroll wheel. Left click many times double or even quad clicks when you only wanted single click. Highlighting text doesn't work properly in any application (especially in Terminal). Highlighting usually leads to premature dragging, highlights the wrong words, or doesn't highlight enough words, skips words, selects sections of words and moves them to other areas of the screen and more. Right click is liable to do anything: Open applications, close applications, select properties, view source, show desktop, open email, send email, and more. I got a little relief by adjusting mouse settings: maxed out drag and drop threshold and lowered sensitivity all the down. So far the best workaround is to go slow with the mouse and persevere through the frustration. Easily reproducible on my machine, all you gotta do is try using the mouse. [Bug 260941] [NEW] pidgin pastes url twice when dragged from firefox3 to pidgin send box
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pidgin When I want to send a URL to a friend I like to double click in the address bar of Firefox and it highlights the entire URL and then I can drag it to the pidgin window and drop it in the send box. However, what actually happens is when I drag the URL it pastes it twice. Example of what you'll see in the send box after dropping: http://www.brightcove.tv/title.jsp?title=1568171329http://www.brightcove.tv/title.jsp?title=1568171329 What it should be: http://www.brightcove.tv/title.jsp?title=1568171329 If I highlight the URL by any other means and don't drag it but instead right-click and Copy, then go to Pidgin and right-click and Paste, then it works properly.
