[Bug 1744699] [NEW] cntlm should stop logging every connection attempt
Public bug reported: Currently cntlm calls syslog with LOG_DEBUG for each connect, get, post, etc it makes to the proxy server. Hi Christopher, the steps are a little confusing for me. I've prepared the report according to the instructions from Ubuntu's Wiki, but looking at Intel's instructions it looks like they need other information. I will have to build and and redo the test using their nightly release. Is that so? In case yes, I will need a few to more days to be able to test it properly. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1479321 Title: WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 207 at /build/linux-lts-vivid-3x86XO/linux-lts- vivid-3.19.0/drivers/gpu/drm/i915/intel_display.c:958 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1479321/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1479321] Re: Xorg freeze
Hi Christopher, Sometime ago, after I reported this bug, I had already updated my BIOS to 2.98: ~ $ sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date K01 v02.98 03/18/2015 Since then I've got less video issues, but I cannot tell if they were fixed by the BIOS update or by some other update like the new kernel I have now (3.19). Those 1-2 minutes freezes definitely have stopped or at least they are not so frequent. ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: As requested by christopher.m.penal...@gmail.com in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1309578/comments/45 I reported bug again with ubuntu-bug linux PC with same hardware booted Kubuntu 12.04 migrated by rsync without problems. After upgrade to Kubuntu 12.10 booted also without problems. Upgrade from 12.10 to 13.10 did not work so I installed 14.04 new. Install 14.04 from USB-Stick rebooted after a few seconds. If I do nothing or select install and try everytime after a few seconds reboots. After adding radeon.dpm=0 to bootline install works fine. First boot of installed kubuntu 14.04 reboots again after a few seconds. Adding radeon.dpm=0 to bootline system boots fine. [Bug 1312593] [NEW] kernel reboots without radeon.dpm=0 cmd line
Public bug reported: As requested by christopher.m.penal...@gmail.com in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1309578/comments/45 I reported bug again with ubuntu-bug linux PC with same hardware booted Kubuntu 12.04 migrated by rsync without problems. Now added radeon.dpm=0 to /etc/default/grub:GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT and works fine, send ubuntu-bug linux from that PC with that CMDLINE. [Bug 1309578] Re: Ubuntu 14.04 suddenly reboots when booting from Live USB (AMD APU's)
Same Problem here. I moved Kubuntu 12.04 from old PC to this new PC, runs without problem but needed to upgrade to 12.10 because of a softwareproblem. 12.10 also runs without problems. Because upgrade to 13.10 did not work I installed 14.04 new from USB, install reboots every few seconds, no matter if I press any button, try to install or just wait, a few seconds after boot it reboots. Adding radeon.dpm=0 to boot options solved installer. After install kubuntu reboots again after a few seconds. Adding radeon.dpm=0 to grub- boot-line starts ok. Now added radeon.dpm=0 to grub-conf Hardware: MSI A78M-E35 (MS-7721) and AMD A4-4020 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics Also addes dmesg.1.gz from first boot without radeon.dpm=0 Hope this helps somehow, have PC only till tomorrow, it's from my neighbour ** Attachment added: dmesg.1.gz https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1309578/+attachment/4095441/+files/dmesg.1.gz -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1309578 Title: Ubuntu 14.04 suddenly reboots when booting from Live USB (AMD APU's) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1309578/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hello. I have a Asus Eee PC 1015PN. I run Ubuntu 10.10, 32 bit. Here is the file DSDT.dsl. I created this file when I used the ION nvidia chip. On the site https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardwareSupport/Machines/Netbooks#Asus%20Eee%20PC%201015PN a procedure is described using your ACPI stuff. I have tried this and everything worked fine (reboot, optimus was visible, etc.). I attached also a DSDT_ION+Optimus.dsl file with both graphic cards switched on. However, I couldn't deactivate the nvidia chip at the end via the command echo \_SB.PCI0.P0P4.DGPU.DOFF /proc/acpi/call The system was frozen after 30 seconds. Has somebody an explanation? [Bug 580110] [NEW] ATI Radeon X200M fails to initalise correctly on kernel 2.6.32-22
Public bug reported: When the system is started up on kernel 2.6.32-22, as soon as the login splash screen is shown the graphics become a complete mess, to the point that what is shown on the screen bears no relation to what should be being shown. I know that the login screen is being shown because I can hear the sound telling me the system is ready. I can login blind and hear the login success sound but the graphics stay a mess. Attempting to switch to a text console(CTRL+ALT+1) causes the screen to change, but the graphics are still the same mess and still do not correspond at all to what should be being shown. This problem never occurred on 2.6.32-21, which I am currently using. The problem also used to occur intermittently on older kernels (2.6.2x-xx's). With these older kernels changing resolution or graphics mode(some full screen applications) also used to cause the problem. I have a Dell Vostro 1000 laptop with Radeon Xpress X200M graphics. The problem occurs with both the internal LCD and an external VGA monitor. I am afraid I cannot run apport-collect or provide dmesg, uname -a, etc. output as I have no coherent graphical output while running under the problem kernel. I have attached lspci output while the system is running under 2.6.32-21. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- ATI Radeon X200M fails to initalise correctly on kernel 2.6.32-22 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/580110 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 402095] [NEW] sun-java6-jre license screen is confusing
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntu-restricted-extras During the installation of sun-java6-jre, as part of the ubuntu- restricted-extras package, a screen appears containing licensing terms, however, there is only an Ok button the bottom of the licence text.
