[Bug 384749] [NEW] Thunderbird does not honor network-manager offline state

2009-06-08 Thread Christophe
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: thunderbird

When I am starting thunderbird without any network connection it doesn't
activate offline mode automatically, but ten(!) error messages (Failed

setting, but nothing changes. Firefox detects the offline state
correctly though.

Re: [Bug 146684] Re: Bad EIP value & kernel panic on boot

2007-10-03 Thread Christophe
It was under Gutsy Beta, but this bug was existing under Feisty.
I just "solved" it yesterday with theses boot options, at the live-CD boot :

pci=noacpi nobiospnp noapic nolapic

now it's working but I had an other kernel panic during the first restart,
after updating

So i'm waiting, because it's seems unstable

Ask me if you need anything (log, etc.)

thanks for you amazing work, and sorry for my bad english!

[Bug 205991] Re: Logitech Bluetooth DiNovo Edge keyboard cannot connect

2008-03-25 Thread Christophe
I have an Apple Wireless Bluetooth keyboard and observe the exact same
problem. I have Ubuntu 8.04 Beta x64 with all the latest updates. When
pairing my bluetooth mouse, everything works fine. However, when
pairing a keyboard, the bluetooth gnome applet asks for the passkey in
order to pair for the device. First of all, it should be giving a
passkey to the keyboard, not asking for one. Second, regardless of
whether or not I type anything into the passkey text box, the bluetooth
applet crashes altogether within a few seconds. I do not have a stack
trace for it as I don't see where to get it. If anyone can tell me how
to get the stack trace, I'd be more than happy to post it.

** Summary changed:

- Logitech Bluetooth DiNovo Edge keyboard cannot connect

2007-04-05 Thread christophe
this bug is still existing..
i tried to install the last ubuntu 6.06 LTS server

initrd.img-2.6.15-26-server

moreover, the hint suggested.. |cpio...
can't be used cpio is not a command of the reduced shell (busybox) in which we

[Bug 384749] [NEW] Thunderbird does not honor network-manager offline state

2009-06-08 Thread Christophe
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: thunderbird

When I am starting thunderbird without any network connection it doesn't
activate offline mode automatically, but ten(!) error messages (Failed
to connect to server) pop up. This is very annoying.

I tried to change the "offline.startup_state" and "offline.autoDetect"
setting, but nothing changes. Firefox detects the offline state
correctly though.

Re: [Bug 146684] Re: Bad EIP value & kernel panic on boot

2007-10-03 Thread Christophe
It was under Gutsy Beta, but this bug was existing under Feisty.
I just "solved" it yesterday with theses boot options, at the live-CD boot :

pci=noacpi nobiospnp noapic nolapic

now it's working but I had an other kernel panic during the first restart,
after updating

So i'm waiting, because it's seems unstable

Ask me if you need anything (log, etc.)

thanks for you amazing work, and sorry for my bad english!

[Bug 37639] Re: FL6 hangs after install on STL2 board using Adaptec 2100S in RAID-1

2007-04-05 Thread christophe
this bug is still existing..
i tried to install the last ubuntu 6.06 LTS server

initrd.img-2.6.15-26-server

moreover, the hint suggested.. |cpio...
can't be used cpio is not a command of the reduced shell (busybox) in which we
arrive after the reboot.

what should we do to unload the unneeded module and go on booting ?

Re: [Bug 146684] Re: Bad EIP value & kernel panic on boot

2007-10-03 Thread Christophe
It was under Gutsy Beta, but this bug was existing under Feisty.
I just "solved" it yesterday with theses boot options, at the live-CD boot :

pci=noacpi nobiospnp noapic nolapic

now it's working but I had an other kernel panic during the first restart,
after updating

+ Bluetooth Keyboard Pairing Broken in 8.04 (at least the x64 edition)

Re: [Bug 146684] Re: Bad EIP value & kernel panic on boot

2007-10-03 Thread Christophe
It was under Gutsy Beta, but this bug was existing under Feisty.
I just "solved" it yesterday with theses boot options, at the live-CD boot :

pci=noacpi nobiospnp noapic nolapic

now it's working but I had an other kernel panic during the first restart,
after updating

So i'm waiting, because it's seems unstable

Ask me if you need anything (log, etc.)

thanks for you amazing work, and sorry for my bad english!
