[Bug 1905142] Re: [amdgpu] When entering sleep mode the monitors turn off then immediately turn back on

2021-10-01 Thread cjy
This happens on 21.04 also. The monitors go to sleep then immediately
wake back up, regardless of whether they were sleeping from an idle
timeout or a manual screen lock (win-L)

Nothing much seems to appear in syslog or journalctl about this.

It happens both in Wayland and X11.

What other information is needed?

What application or package is responsible for sleeping the display?

How can we get this fixed?

[Bug 1901350] Re: [Lenovo ThinkPad T450s] Touchpad stops working after sleep

2021-09-17 Thread cjy
In case it helps find the cause, I just found that this problem doesn't
seem to happen when the TrackPoint is enabled - it only happens when the
TouchPad is enabled and TrackPoint *disabled*

[Bug 1901350] Re: [Lenovo ThinkPad T450s] Touchpad stops working after sleep

2021-08-29 Thread cjy
Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately this is still not working.
I installed the deb files, rebooted, put my system to sleep and woke it
back up, and the trackpad was not responding after.

[Bug 1909327] [NEW] Lenovo T450s trackpad doesn't work after sleep

2020-12-25 Thread cjy
Public bug reported:

After sleep, the Lenovo T450s trackpad stops working. I have to rmmod
psmouse and modprobe psmouse to get it to work again, or just use an
external mouse.

[Bug 1901351] [NEW] Bluetooth Mouse Natural Scrolling backwards on boot/sleep

2020-10-24 Thread cjy

Every time the Bluetooth mouse connects, the Natural Scrolling is

[Bug 1900290] Re: Touchpad stops working after sleep

2020-10-24 Thread cjy
apport information

** Tags added: apport-collected

** Description changed:

On my Thinkpad T450s, the touchpad stops working after sleep. I used to
restart it with the rmmod/modprobe psmouse sequence, but after software updates
today even that isn't working right (the touchpad comes back forgetting any
customized settings)
It'd be nice if this core problem were just fixed so the touchpad worked
after sleep.

[Bug 1901331] [NEW] Bluetooth Mouse Natural Scrolling backwards on boot

Public bug reported:

After booting up my laptop with the Bluetooth mouse paired, the
scrolling direction is backwards. In Settings, "Natural Scrolling" shows

[Bug 157289] Keyboard input sometimes stops working

2007-10-25 Thread cjy
Public bug reported:

After the upgrade to 7.10, sometimes keyboard input stops working in
just one program.

When it happens, I can input data in a different program and copy-and-
paste to the one without working input.

It begins during program execution (In other words, while using a
program it just occurs; It is not in this state from the beginning of
program execution)

I have SCIM installed, but am using English/Keyboard at the time this
happens. While in the broken state, switching input modes to Japanese -
Anthy does not fix the situation.

[Bug 123498] Re: OpenOffice floating toolbars prevent attaining focus on Alt-Tab

2007-10-25 Thread cjy
This no longer reproduces on 7.10. However, I have been forced to switch
themes to run OpenOffice at all (because of another bug) - If this was
theme related, then this good news is possibly invalid. If it wasn't
theme related, then its fixed. Toolbars can't get focus now, which is
great.

[Bug 123498] Re: Floating toolbars prevent OpenOffice from receiving focus after an Alt-Tab

2007-07-03 Thread cjy
Thanks for your attention to this!

I'm using Ubuntu 7.04, and the gnome environment. Desktop Effects
disabled!

I'm not really sure what else to say about this.. The most concise
reproduction instructions I can come up with are:

1) Start Office / OpenOffice Presentation, click Create
 - A new presentation is created
2) Start Office / OpenOffice Word Processor
3) Try Alt-Tab between Impress and Writer
 - It should work properly
4) Click Bulleted List in Writer
 - A Bullets and Numbering toolbar should appear
5) Try Alt-Tab between the applications again
 - Focus isn't given to Writer properly.

Thanks again for your help.

[Bug 123894] Scroll buttons associated with the touchpad are sometimes not usable after hibernate

2007-07-03 Thread cjy
Public bug reported:

After hibernate, sometimes the scroll buttons on my laptop stop working.
These are physical buttons located beside the mouse buttons (not a
scroll area)

I've seen this 3 times out of about 10 hibernate cycles. It never occurs
after reboot (Not seen after 100 reboots)

When in this state, external (USB) mouse scroll wheels still function
properly.

I have the gsynaptics software installed.

[Bug 123498] Floating toolbars prevent OpenOffice from receiving focus after an Alt-Tab

2007-07-02 Thread cjy
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

Floating toolbars seem to prevent OpenOffice from receiving focus after
an Alt-Tab.

If I have a Writer document open, and am currently in a numbered list
(therefore have a floating toolbar open) then Alt-Tab behavior between
Writer and Impress becomes incorrect.

The first Alt-Tab from Impress to Writer results in focus seemingly
going nowhere. A *second* Alt-Tab operation to the Writer window will
focus on the Writer window properly.

This doesn't seem to happen if the origin application is FireFox or
Thunderbird. (Firefox - AltTab - Writer)

This also doesn't happen if I am not in a numbered list (no floating
toolbar)
