Hello all,
I am sure the bug now is fixed in Hardy and Ibex. I tried once with a new
Ubuntu and it worked properly. I will have to get a system(not at hand
currently) and come back with the information since which version it
worked.
Best Regards,
Christian
I have to say it is. My Hardy servers don't have the PPA in them (just
-updates) and I've tested on Ibex with success as well.

Bug description:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-amd
As part of the LTSP project, we detect which video card is in the machine
by running a Xorg -configure :1, and using the resulting file.
I have a ThinCan DBE61, http://www.artecgroup.com/thincan/ and am proving
it with Ubuntu, as they wish to officially support Ubuntu with their
product.
It has a geode video driver, but autodetection fails with a crash dump:
Crash dump and lspci -vv output pasted subsequently.
