[Bug 1312996] [NEW] Lenovo X220, hard freeze after pluggin in external monitor through Display Port

2014-04-25 Thread climatewarrior
Public bug reported:

This didn't happen in 13.10, and incidentally it worked for a few days
with 14.04. It is a hard freeze and I'm forzed to shut down the computer
through the power button. I tried if a fresh system would make it work,
so I booted a live DVD and reproduced the problem.

[Bug 201294] Re: Restricted manager doesn't notice broadcom

2008-12-24 Thread climatewarrior
Ok, I tested this problem in Kubuntu 9.04 Alpha and here are the results

I started jockey without Internet connection and it didn't list anything.
Later I started it with a wired Internet connection available and it said it
was looking for drivers but it didnt find anything.
After that I got and installed all the updates available and restarted the
computer. When I ran jockey it said the same thing and found the correct
drivers but I pressed the activate but it didn't do anything. Later on the tray
a message appeared telling me that the system found drivers. Once again the
correct driver was listed but I pressed activate and it didnt do anything.

If you need anything else just ask me.

Thanks :)

[Bug 277709] Re: [Intrepid] Intel graphics card only runs with NoDRI option

2008-10-13 Thread climatewarrior
Can somebody please post how to get the backtraces step by step. I can
do a fresh install just for testing purposes if necessary. I really want
to see this fixed by the final release. Also I think that the importance
level should be raised. This graphics card is fairly common and thus
this bug could render the installation of thousands of people useless if
it stays up to the final release. Any news from upstream on this issue?
Thanks to everyone. I know you are working really hard to make this a
really good release.

[Bug 202455] Re: [Hardy] Wirelss is not working

2008-03-31 Thread climatewarrior
This bug does not affect Auto-NDISwrapper. This is not NDISwrapper. This
is just a small program to automate the process of installing drivers
with NDISwrapper. Just to let you know. Good luck with your bug.
Anything else just let me know.

Re: [Bug 55905] Re: Driver problem with wireless card

2008-03-14 Thread climatewarrior
Humm, it seems there is a little of a misunderstanding here. I think you
want to reach ndiswrapper not auto-ndiswrapper. We are just a really small
project working on the automation of the installation of windows drivers
with ndiswrapper. I really don't know anything about how ndiswrapper works
or about how it interfaces with the kernel. I wish I could help you :( but
I simply don't have the knowledge required. I suggest you contact
ndiswrapper http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/joomla/ directly to solve you
problem. If there is anything else I could help you with just contact me
again.

Good Luck!

[Bug 138256] Re: xserver-xorg-video-intel hangs the system when laptop lid is closed

2007-11-01 Thread climatewarrior
I tried removing xscreensaver-gl but I still dont get no resume after
suspend. I just get the password box I type it and then the black screen
stays and I can only move the cursor. I am using the intel driver and I
have an Intel 855Gm graphics card on a dell latitude x300

[Bug 138094] Re: [Gutsy] desktop and keyboard freezes while mouse is moveable

2007-10-13 Thread climatewarrior

I have the same exact problem here. Im using the experimental modsetting
driver and my video card is the intel 855gm. When i disable compiz
fusion suspend works perfectly. I had compiz fusion on feisty and
suspend worked there too. Im running gutsy release candidate.

Also of note.

This bug happens on any screen blanking event, not just after suspend.
Keyboard works fine on unlocking password prompt, but then the screen
remains blank and the keyboard doesn't work at all. Caps lock, Ctrl-alt-
Backspace, nothing.

end quote

same here too

I can also move the mouse when the screen is blank

Thank YOu! all

[Bug 133118] Re: very corrupt X after suspend/resume

2007-10-12 Thread climatewarrior
I have the same exact video card on a Dell Latitude X300 laptop. Suspend
and hibernate worked perfectly on Feisty but now I upgraded to Gutsy
Release candidate and suspend doesnt work at all. I hace compiz fusion
enabled and it works perfectly. I also had it in Feisty and suspend
worked with that too. The only difference in my problem is that after
putting my password to come back from suspend I just get a completely
black screen. I tried using ctrl +alt+f1 and even that does nothing to
my computer. Bye! thanksfor the great work
