[Bug 113095] Re: On shutdown, NetworkManager shuts down before NFS unmounts, causing a long hang
this problem is still present on my machine (12.04) since I can remember. Shutdown happens always fast. Only if I mounted nfs-devices the shutdown progress hangs after stating that "killing all processes failed". As the patches talked about in this thread are quite old (2009), I do not want to install them to my system. [Bug 293311] Re: nautilus thumbnails files on a mounted NFS share
I agree with Cedric. This freezes nautilus everytime I access folders with pictures or videos in it. Most times only for a few seconds, but when there are several video files in the folder nautilus can freeze for minutes until it has produced a thumbnail for every single video. At least an option for excluding nfs from thumbnailing would help. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/293311 Title: nautilus thumbnails files on a mounted NFS share To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nautilus/+bug/293311/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 563878] Re: Ubuntu splashscreen big and ugly after installing ATI/nVidia proprietary graphics driver
The script does not work for me (NVidia Geforce 8800 GT, ubuntu 10.04). The boot menu now appears in the high resolution, after this the splash screen appears in the know ugly way. Because the boot menu is shown in the high resolution, I don't think, that it is the wrong resolution. @Mauricio: You say you use the resolution 1024x768 in your example, but I think you use 1280x1024, right? -- Ubuntu splashscreen big and ugly after installing ATI/nVidia proprietary graphics driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/563878 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
