[Bug 636711] Re: 10.10 can't mount squashfs file system
this d*mn usb will not mount the squashfs. I'm trying to install unbuntu netbook remix 10.10. When the battery and person appear at the bottom of the screen I press the right arrow key. I get then to the language selection screen, I get pass that then when I try to install to hard disk the error comes up. I haven't run Memtest 86 (fully) yet or the MD5 sum yet but I've read the forum and seems like neither helps. I've formatted a 8 gig U3 sandisk and formatted it to the Fat 32 format...and yeah it doesn't work so any other suggestions? Besides redownloading it took two freaking hours to download it just once. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/636711 Title: 10.10 can't mount squashfs file system To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/636711/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 64195] udevd is trying to connect to LDAP but there is none short after udev was started
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: udev this also occurs on dapper on my server (server version): short after udevd starts he/it will try to connect to my Ldap-Server. Of course this fails: there cant be any network interface yet. On Dapper, he tries this for one time and then the startup went fine. On Edgy he tries to connect for 8, 16, 32 an 64 seconds - not so nice but startup is also fine afterwards this happened first time today after the update about 30 minutes ago udev093-0ubuntu16 libnss-ldap 251-5.2 ** Affects: udev (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- udevd is trying to connect to LDAP but there is none short after udev was started https://launchpad.net/bugs/64195 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 63133] vim tiny: wrong handling of german umlauts
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: vim-tiny vim-tiny in edgy eft beta may possibly have a problem showing correct german umlauts (ä,ß, etc) typing ä vim-tiny writes ä[_] where [_] stands for an unvisible sign - but not an empty string: in mails which contains - for example ä[something] - it is shown as some strange ascii art ;) After installing package vim this strange behavior has gone. Using: - Edgy Eft, testing/unstable (all Patches applied until Sep. 30, 2006) - vim-tiny, Version 7.0-035+1ubuntu4 , on i386-x32 - new Installation without modifikation of any config file Variable LANG is: de_DE.UTF-8 TERM is: xterm Why is there a Link (or binary) in /usr/bin named vim when there is no such item in the package itself: dpkg -L shows /usr/bin/vim.tiny. In vim-common also there is no vim link or binary but i was able to start using the command vim in mutt and of course on command line.
