Suspend worked before, but this time it hung. Notebook was suspended for

I also installed Intrepid freshly off a USB stick and was having the
same problems. After removing the offending lines from fstab and
blkid.tab, it's working perfectly on both my notebook and netbook.

I had a single 1GB FAT16 partition (created by Windows XP) on my drive
(1GB total), and used gparted to remove the old partition and create a
new FAT16 partition. This also resolved my issue.

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

The upgrade gave an advice that it did not complete and my system could
be in an unusable state. I rebooted and it loaded fine except with some
errors on the dos screen. I run upgrade manager again and it gave a
message that i have the latest upgrade (i noticed that the portion for
upgrade to 8.04 was no longer  there at the upgrade menu screen.
