I have the same bug in Ubuntu Jaunty.

When I choosecertain themes, the currently open windows are themed
accordingly, but all new windows use the default GTK-Theme. I don't know
if any theme is saved permanently.

Darklooks and Darkroom don't work, all standard themes seem to work
correctly.

I got a similar error when upgrading from intrepid ibex via the update-
manager.

The installer popped up a message stating "/var/cache/apt/archives/vim-
runtime_2%3a7.2.025-2ubuntu1_all.deb konnte nicht installiert werden"
([...] could not be installed) and "Unterprozess pre-installation script
gab den Fehlerwert 2 zurück" (Subprocess pre-installation script
returned the error code 2)
