[Bug 330017] [NEW] extract to library can get stuck due to CD errors
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox I got this one CD disc with a manufacturing defect on track 9 of 15. The extraction disc writing stops at track 9. The CD is stuck and can't get past the errors. rhythmbox doesn't time-out. It's stuck, too. Steps to reproduce: 1) grab a CD you hate and scratch at the top where the label paint is to get down to the aluminum layer to make a defect. 2) try to extract it and watch the cd-rom drive get stuck into an infinite skip. 3) Watch rhythmbox not time-out and get stuck, too. 4) Notice the lack of a 'Stop extraction' button.
