[Bug 883272] Re: Mouse navigation not working in fulls creen mode
Hi Matthew, this is how I can trigger the described behaviour: * Click on any .avi file in the file manager. * When it opens it totem and starts playing press the F key => Playback switches into full screen mode * Moving the mouse does not have any visible effect, the navigation area is not displayed If I had to guess I'd say it's caused by the window (or overlay) displaying the video does not receive the mouse input. When pressing the left mouse button and moving the mouse ("dragging") a "drag" icon is displayed as the cursor, indicating a document being dragged. Otherwise there is no pointer displayed at all. [Bug 883272] [NEW] Mouse navigation not working in fulls creen mode
Public bug reported: After upgrading to oneric navigation in full screen mode is not working anymore. Moving the mouse used to bring up a navigation area at the bottom of the window containing the progress bar and basic player controls such as pause and play. Now moving the mouse doesn't trigger any action at all and the is no way to bring up the navigation area. Right clicking does bring up the context menu but left clicking doesn't even stop the movie. Also the mouse pointer is not visible at all in full screen mode. [Bug 870563] [NEW] All configured printers gone (printers.conf files disappeared )
Public bug reported: After booting up my laptop today I noticed, that my only configured printer, a network printer was gone. Having a look into /etc/cups I noticed the printers.conf file is missing. Comparing to another machine I noticed that the files printers.conf.0, classes.conf and classes.conf.0 are missing too. Needless to say this is very annoying. [Bug 848221] [NEW] Desktop does not start up after login
Public bug reported: The problem I am reporting showed up in mid august approximately. Until then everything was working fine. When I login through the graphical login screen the desktop does not load. Instead the ubuntu wallpaper is displayed with no other desktop elements (panel, dash, ...). My custom wallpaper is also not displayed. The cursor shows as "loading" and the display turns black and back to the default wallpaper a couple of times. After that nothing happens. Logging into the classic mode works. I am using pam-mount to mount my encrypted home partition. When logging into the first tty I noticed that I don't get to the shell immediately. Instead the prompt says: Last login ... Welcome to Ubuntu ... * Documentation ... (arg: 7) Pressing Ctrl+C brought me to the shell. Some kind of login script seems to wait for input. Maybe that is related to the problem with the desktop session. I am happy to provide any other information needed to track this down. [Bug 279547] [NEW] Various settings not saved across reboots
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gconf Hi, I recently installed Ubuntu 8.04 on my laptop and noticed that many settings do not persist across reboots. For example, adding the terminal icon to the panel, changing compiz settings or setting up a VPN connection. To me this looks like a gconf problem but I don't know much about Gnome. The funny thing is that a previously configured VPN connection in network-manager doesn't show up in the gui anymore but the file .gconf/system/networking/vpn_connections/myconnection/%gconf.xml still contains the configuration.
