[Bug 640100] Re: Maverick fails to wake up on Samsung N150

2010-10-12 Thread dodo
Ooops. This is weird. I did it once more time, and now dmesg says:

[0.701999] registered taskstats version 1
[0.702635] Magic number: 14:574:331
[0.702678] tty tty52: hash matches

[Bug 640100] Re: Maverick fails to wake up on Samsung N150

2010-10-12 Thread dodo
Following the procedure detailed at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspend I found that at dmesg:

[0.695528] Magic number: 14:89:936
[0.695563] pci_express :00:1c.3:pcie04: hash matches

(No more "matches" line below that one...) lspci says:

00:1c.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family PCI Express Port 1 (rev
02)
00:1c.1 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family PCI Express Port 2 (rev
02)
00:1c.2 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family PCI Express Port 3 (rev
02)
00:1c.3 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family PCI Express Port 4 (rev
02)

Which module should I disable to test if it is the "likely culprit"?
Regards.

Same problem here on a Samsung NB30. Should I post the apport
information?

[Bug 360905] Re: Network-Manager not seeing broadband card

2009-04-26 Thread dodo
Regarding the Toshiba G450, I forgot to say that it also works fine in
Jaunty, if you make the ugly hack of adding the device/vendor ids as
kernel parameters in /boot/grub/menu.lst (usbserial is not a module
anymore!?) and use a dialer, such as wvdial. However, NetworkManager
continues thinking there's no active network connection, so Firefox runs
in offline mode... :S

[Bug 360905] Re: Network-Manager not seeing broadband card

2009-04-24 Thread dodo
Same problem here with a Toshiba G450 HSPA modem (vendor=0x0930,
product=0x0d45), which works flawlessly in 8.10.

Apr 24 22:42:55 dodo-mon nm-system-settings:SCPlugin-Ifupdown: device added
(udi:
/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_930_d45_noserial_if0_serial_usb_0,

Apr 24 22:42:55 dodo-mon NetworkManager: (ttyUSB0): ignoring due to

Apr 24 22:42:55 dodo-mon NetworkManager: (ttyUSB2): ignoring due to
lack of mobile broadband capabilties
Apr 24 22:42:55 dodo-mon NetworkManager: (ttyUSB1): ignoring due to

This is a show-stopper bug: the affected computer doesn't have any other
network connection available.
