[Bug 1055093] [NEW] nm-applet openvpn icon still seen after suspend
Public bug reported: Steps to Reproduce: 1. Login to openvpn using nm-applet. 2. Suspend your computer by closing the lid 3. Unsuspend your computer and log back in 4. See that the openvpn lock icon is still there - even if the VPN is not connected 5. Connect to the VPN again. 6. See the openvpn lock icon does not disengage, and the only indication that the VPN is reconnecting is flashing wireless majiggy. What should be happening: The openvpn 'lock' icon should not be showing after a suspend - the VPN is disconnected. Otherwise, just make the VPN connect again, while showing the connecting animation. ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1055093 Title: nm-applet openvpn icon still seen after suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1055093/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1022349] [NEW] Ubuntu Software Center Hanging
Public bug reported: The Ubuntu Software Center seems to hang after 5+ packages are in the progress section. Each time I click install on a package (after the 5 packages are already in the progress section), the Software Center hangs for a while when adding the package to the progress section. The more packages that are in the progress section, the longer the hang seems to be. Eventually, when it reaches 30 packages in the progress section, the Software Center occasionally crashes, and/or hangs permanantly. [Bug 971011] [NEW] Compiz disables unity plugin on graphical errors
Public bug reported: Release: Precise (12.04) Version: 1:0.9.7.2-0ubuntu4 Whenever there are graphical problems with Unity-3D, compiz disables the Unity plugin. The next time (after recovering from the crash), Unity-3D will crash upon login, and unity-panel-service won't start because the plugin isn't enabled. Steps to reproduce: 1. Cause a graphical error (i.e. Open the desktop by mistake while doing a major package upgrade). 2. Log out, and log back into unity. 3. Find that Unity-3D won't start because unity-panel-service won't start due to the fact that the unity compiz plugin is disabled. 4. Log back out, and go into Unity-2D 5. Install and run ccsm, put a checkbox next to the unity plugin. 6. Log out, and log back into Unity-3D. A good way to demonstrate #1 is to get Precise Beta 1, and start upgrading to Beta 2. In the middle, open lightdm, and start logging in. This will most likely produce some form of graphical error, as your system is half-upgraded. What should happen: Compiz should NOT be disabling the unity plugin. If there are graphical problems, the user can log into Ubuntu2D by themselves. ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/971011 Title: Compiz disables unity plugin on graphical errors To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/971011/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 971214] [NEW] Unity taskbar leaves text from menus
Public bug reported: Ubuntu Version: 12.04 (all updates installed) Package version: 5.8.0-0ubuntu2 If you turn the taskbar 100% transparent, the text overlays from the global menu never dissapear. The first time you re-maximize a program from the unity bar, the text on the taskbar is fine. When you hover over the taskbar to take a look at the menu, the name of the program turns black, and the menu names go over it. The name of the program is still easily visible. This goes for any change of text in that area. Browsing to a page with a different name has the same effect. As long as the program stays open, the black text underlay remains. After a while, the underlay is cleared, and it looks as it should. Ive attached a screenshot of what is going on (as its hard to explain) It sometimes happens even if the menu is not changed. Steps to reproduce: 1. Go to compizconfig settings manager, and select the Unity Plugin 2. Under Experimental, set Panel Opacity to zero 3. Public bug reported: I recently downloaded LIRC. The GUI let me set the manufacturer for the IRC receiver (HP TSGI-IR01) and accompanying remote (HP is the only physical identifier on the remote). [Bug 533416] [NEW] Apt-p2p needs some promotion
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: apt This is a wishlist/bug in apt-p2p. Currently, apt-p2p is not very well know; its only known by people who have been working with ubuntu long enough. I believe that there should be an option in the software source of gnome to use apt-p2p to make users informed that they have this option. Apt-p2p is important in the fact that it decreases the load on the ubuntu-servers, especially during upgrades. If more people use it, apt-p2p can possibly become more popular, and therefore more packages would be able to be downloaded using it. In addition, Apt-p2p should have a fallback after timeout option where it falls back to the ubuntu repository after waiting for a set amount of time (timeout). This ensures that the packages/repository that the user was trying to download will be downloaded, and will be added to the apt- p2p pool. The next user will then have more chance of downloading the package/repository from apt-p2p. This also prevents users from getting hung on certain repositories where there are not many peers. ** Affects: apt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Apt-p2p needs some promotion https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/533416 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
