[Bug 1120977] [NEW] Reduce the dependency of bamfdaemon on the libunity-webapps0 package

2013-02-10 Thread Drey
Public bug reported:

There is currently no way to remove the Unity Web Apps integration
(libunity-webapps0, unity-webapps-service packages) from Ubuntu without
also removing bamfdaemon, indicator-appmenu, libbamf3-0, ubuntu-desktop,
unity.

Please reduce the dependency of bamfdaemon on the libunity-webapps0
package to at least recommended so users that do not use Web Apps
integration can uninstall it.

I deleted the
/usr/share/dbus-1/services/com.canonical.Unity.Webapps.Service.service
file, so the service wouldn't autostart, and never noticed any problems,
so, perhaps, dependency is not crucial?

[Bug 1120991] [NEW] Change duckduckgo search plugin icon to local one

2013-02-10 Thread Drey
Public bug reported:

Currently on first start and every update, firefox fetches duckduckgo search
plugin icon from the duckduckgo website.
I think it's not very effective, and creates unnecessary load on DDG servers.
Also, all other search plugins in ubuntu use local icons.

Please fix this, as this it's very easy:

In duckduckgo.xml file change this string:
Image width=16 height=16http://duckduckgo.com/favicon.ico/Image
to the local one (i attached search plugin with local icon, generated from
duckduckgo.com for convenience)

[Bug 784482] Re: vim-tiny doesn't install a symbolic link to vim

2012-07-11 Thread drey
Hi.
I have vim.tiny installed and wanna use it instead of vi/vim because of weird
arrows buttons behavior in edit mode.
i checked, that vim.tiny works good for me but I want to use short vi command
to edit files.
So I tried to change a symlink from this:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 Jul 11 03:19 /usr/bin/vi - /etc/alternatives/vi
 to this:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 Jul 12 07:02 /usr/bin/vi - /usr/bin/vim.tiny
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 Jul 11 03:19 /usr/bin/vi.bad -
/etc/alternatives/vi

but the behavior still stays the same i don't know why.

Other /usr/bin/vi*:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 Jul 12 07:02 /usr/bin/vi - /usr/bin/vim.tiny
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 Jul 11 03:19 /usr/bin/vi.bad -
/etc/alternatives/vi
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 22 Jul 11 03:19 /usr/bin/view -
/etc/alternatives/view
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root  18456 Oct 31  2011 /usr/bin/viewres
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 725732 Mar 12 15:25 /usr/bin/vim.tiny
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root   9696 Apr 17 05:23 /usr/bin/vino-passwd
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root  26508 Apr 17 05:23 /usr/bin/vino-preferences

I'm on linux mint 13 up-to-date.
Can you help me?

I have the same issue as
 Andreas Korth (andreaskorth)
has with iwl 3945.
But I can reproduce it easily - after each suspend (3 in last three days) I
get this error on resume and only reboot helps.
 It happened after last software update. Before I used 12.04 for few weeks with
suspends and resumes fine.
I can post logs or sys info if it will help.

[Bug 966911] [NEW] Nautilus crashes after moving a directory from tab to tab.

2012-03-28 Thread drey
Public bug reported:

In two tabs at nautilus we have two directories in different disk partitions.
When user cuts+pastes any directory from tab to tab in nautilus and switching
back to source tab in less than 2 seconds after paste finished, then nautilus
crashes with this message in /var/log/syslog:
kernel: [time] nautilus[pid]: segfault at c ip 08123ea1 sp some_number
error 4 in nautilus[8048000+19a000]

Size of directory contents doesn't matter.

tried to move an archive, a file, tried copy+paste, moving to the same
partition, moving from 1 nautilus window to another nautilus window -
these are okay.

Tested on these filesystems:
// ntfs = fuseblk
ntfs - ext4
ext4 - ntfs

[Bug 907937] Re: Last Import and Already imported not working

2012-02-07 Thread drey
I moved photos after import, so shotwell can't find them and can't mark them as
already imported.
But it's bad habit! I want shotwell to log imports and decide what imported and
what is not only by this log.

[Bug 778877] Re: Nautilus segfaults when opening .3gp file properties

2011-05-10 Thread drey
Enabled in /etc/default/apport and tried to restart apport:

$ /etc/init.d/apport restart
Rather than invoking init scripts through /etc/init.d, use the service(8)
utility, e.g. service apport restart

Since the script you are attempting to invoke has been converted to an
Upstart job, you may also use the restart(8) utility, e.g. restart apport
start: Rejected send message, 1 matched rules; type=method_call,
sender=:1.51 (uid=1000 pid=3647 comm=start)
interface=com.ubuntu.Upstart0_6.Job member=Start error name=(unset)
requested_reply=0 destination=com.ubuntu.Upstart (uid=0 pid=1
comm=/sbin/init))
$ service apport restart
restart: Rejected send message, 1 matched rules; type=method_call,
sender=:1.52 (uid=1000 pid=3680 comm=restart)
interface=com.ubuntu.Upstart0_6.Job member=Restart error name=(unset)
requested_reply=0 destination=com.ubuntu.Upstart (uid=0 pid=1
comm=/sbin/init))
$

what I did wrong?

[Bug 778877] [NEW] Nautilus segfaults when opening .3gp file properties

2011-05-06 Thread drey
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

I tried bringing up the properties window on a 3gp file in Nautilus and
it crashed, Run nautilus from command line gave me this:

#this row appears just after nautilus run:
Initializing nautilus-gdu extension
# and these rows only after opening properties:
** (process:8208): WARNING **: Couldn't change nice value of process.
(totem-video-thumbnailer:8208): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_date_new_dmy: assertion
`g_date_valid_dmy (day, m, y)' failed
(totem-video-thumbnailer:8208): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_date_free: assertion `d !=
NULL' failed
** (process:8216): WARNING **: Couldn't change nice value of process.
(totem-video-thumbnailer:8216): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_date_new_dmy: assertion
`g_date_valid_dmy (day, m, y)' failed
(totem-video-thumbnailer:8216): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_date_free: assertion `d !=

(nautilus:8180): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_date_new_dmy: assertion `g_date_valid_dmy
(day, m, y)' failed
(nautilus:8180): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_date_free: assertion `d != NULL' failed
Segmentation fault

Nautilus restart brings back the desktop and nautilus will run, until I
try to open the properties on any 3gp file again. Other filetypes seem
to be okay.

I'm not sure if it's related, but when I open the 3gp in totem/vlc - totem/vlc
segfaults too.
But when I open the same 3gp using Gnome mplayer file plays normally.

This bug is near another bug: Bug #287765
I opened new because I don't want to manually collect info and attach to old
bug instead of automatic Problem report from nautilus. Thanks for
understanding,  you can join bugs.

[Bug 404894] Re: Song duplicating (~10 times) in playlist.

2009-07-27 Thread drey
Thanks. I've checked Properties of song and saw such a path:
/home/username/music/music/music...
Right i had a cyclic link (/home/username/music/music-/home/username/music)
That was a trouble.

This is not a bug.
