I am sorry to say that I cannot check whether those cups are working
because I neither use that old printer nor GNOME shell.

I followed the instruction mentioned by robert kresse. To confirm the 
rectification i clicked the apt download link for Adobe flash plugin. It opened 
a window askin to choose a programme to open the link I do not know what to 
do next.

I solved it by myself, When I get the window of choose a programme to open the 
apturl link, I navigate to /usr/bin/apturl-kde. I think this bug can be solved 
with the above mentione two steps namely
1.configuring the firefox
2. select /usr/bin/apturl-kde to open the link

I am not able to install the debug symbols for open office impress because the 
debug symbols package available in my synaptic package manager is of version 
1:3.2.0-7ubuntu4.2 and the installed open office impress package in my lucid is 
of version 1:3.2.1-6ubuntu2~10.04.1

I failed to do the backtrace may be because of my failure to install the
debug symbol package for OOo impress. Kindly guide me to report bug

Today I used open office impress to create power point slides. I also opened 
and kept my open office word processor idle to copy some text from word file to 
power point slide.
The programme crashed several times in an hour (approx 10 times in an hour). It 
crashed randomly while doing anything during the slide creation. There was no 
specific triggering factor for the crash.
It crashed while doing 'copy', 'moving the table', 'clicking for slide show', 
'while changing the size of fonts' etc

Openoffice.org help window for calc always freezes after selecting 
'sumFunction' from the index and press 'enter'. I have not tried for other

Hi
I am using Karmic Kaola with the latest kernel
When I try to copy the text from a paragraph in a pdf file, The programme 
selects few random alphabets (usually the first letter of the word)from the 
paragraph. I was not able to select the whole paragraph to copy.

I hope this is what you meant(problem document). Sorry If I'am wrong

The Xsane preview window opens as a white blank window. If I press 'Scan' in 
the main window, It gives out an another white blank page instead of the image.
