[Bug 367608] Re: Konsole Shell Refused to Start after 8.10 -> 9.04 upgrade
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 338071 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/338071 The problem I encountered is not a duplicate. It is also not the same as the original filer's. See http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1138091 for the resolution to the problem I encountered. -- Konsole Shell Refused to Start after 8.10 -> 9.04 upgrade https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/367608 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 367608] Re: Konsole Shell Refused to Start after 8.10 -> 9.04 upgrade
Perhaps the problem encountered by the original filer is a dup of bug 338071, but the problem I am hitting is not. mountdevbufs.sh and S11mountdevbufs.sh both exist. Running mountdevbufs.sh does not fix the problem. If this bug is changed to a dup of 338071 I will file a new bug with the details outlined in my comment above. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdebase/+bug/367608/comments/1 -- Konsole Shell Refused to Start after 8.10 -> 9.04 upgrade https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/367608 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I am seeing the same problem. Same upgrade. This is actually pretty serious. Try using emacs via konsole when this is enabled. Ctrl+S saves a file and is one of the more commonly used and more important commands in emacs. Re: [Bug 68158] Re: Firefox 2.0
I apologize if anything I wrote was disrespectful. The bug was closed and I was trying to argue forcefully that it be reopened. In the company where I work discussions about whether a bug should be fixed or not are appropriately recorded in the bug db. I was not aware that was not normal practice for Ubuntu. I will not do so again. [Bug 58721] Re: Edgy upgrade breaks multiple Matrox cards
I just upgraded from Dapper to the release version of Edgy and the mga driver does not work. I am using a G550 AGP. I have tried both the mga driver installed with the upgrade and the mga driver from Matrox which is substantially larger. I've just switched from Win2k to Ubuntu and thought it was very nice. Hitting this bug and then finding it was known well before the release and yet was not fixed does not increase my happiness. -- Edgy upgrade breaks multiple Matrox cards https://launchpad.net/bugs/58721 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 49311] Re: unable to burn dvd
I am having the same issue as the filer. I have not tried graveman, but have tried the demo version of Nero, gnomebaker, and something else that I can't recall. None would burn an iso file to a dvd. CD Creator will create a CD, but fails to burn an iso file saying it only support CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-RW. I'm trying to use a DVD-R. The drive is a Pioneer A05 which can write DVD-R and has done so many times under Win2k. I'm running Dapper Drake fully updated as of 25Oct. DMA is enabled. My DVD drive is hda.
