[Bug 1753525] Re: Wacom tablet not recognized in Settings > Devices
on Jul 16 2020 I still have the same problem. The pad is perfectly recognized when using terminal commands but not detected in the device dialog under settings>devices>Wacom Tablet. When I hit Test your settings I can input but have to use high pressure. I did install the most recent drivers from source following this link https://linuxwacom.github.io/ , installing input wacom from source and building the Xdriver. Installing input wacom went without error messages and installing the Xdriver gave the message that the installed driver is already the newest one. When I try to use the tablet with Xournal it sometimes works and sometime doesn't rebooting usually fixes the "not working". "Not working" symptoms are: when drawing a line it gets interrupted, the pressure has to be extremely high, the cursor jumps around wildly, switching between eraser and pen is not controllable, the cursor can not be mapped to a specific monitor. [Bug 1728012] Re: Many 3rd party scanner drivers are broken by a sane change
I am just a user, thus this post may sound naive but perhaps it gives a different perspective: Sane used to work until "something" was changed an now it doesn't work anymore for many people. My naive questions: what was/is the benefit of the change? do the benefits outweigh the created problems? if not is there a way to fall back to the original situation? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1728012 Title: Many 3rd party scanner drivers are broken by a sane change To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sane-backends/+bug/1728012/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I have a problem with a HP ScanJet 4370. [Bug 1759462] Re: Keyboard shortcuts not operational on 18.04
have the problem mentioned above, some shortcuts work some don't in particular ctrl-alt-t for opening a terminal, ctrl-alt-c in libreoffice. What I observe is: ctrl-alt switches input source (I have two keyboards layouts defined en and de) although in the shortcut settings in settings the shortcut for switching between input sources is defined differently. If I try to change the shortcut to open a terminal from ctrl-alt-t in the settings menu to again ctrl-alt-t, the shortcut ctrl-t is shown in the menue although I pressed ctrl-alt-t. If I accept the selection, the new shortcut ctrl-t works. When in libreoffice ctrl-alt switches input source and ctrl-alt-c does not work to add comments. Thus it looks like the problem might be with the alt key. Just guessing Here is my system: Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS with Gnome desktop 3.28.2, no compiz. I remember that right after installing the shortcuts worked well. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1759462 Title: Keyboard shortcuts not operational on 18.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/1759462/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
