hi there,
i faced this problem today, I installed some days ago Nagios3 with no problem, 
but today I face it, the bug I saw is here:

Postfix configuration was not changed.  If you need to make changes, edit

After modifying main.cf, be sure to run '/etc/init.d/postfix reload'.

Running newaliases

so I edited the file /etc/postfix/main.cf and placed the true name for:
myhostname
mydestination

at installation I named it NagiosServer.local
but it did not changed myhostname and placed it NagiosServer.(null) !!!
and also at this file for mydestination it wroted: 
mydestination = NagiosServer.local, NagiosServer.(null), localhost.(null), 
localhost

and I changed teh nulls to local and tryed again and it is installed
and running like charm :)
