Got similar problems (suspend works, resume fails with SATA errors) on ACER emachines g620, using kernel 'server' 32bits (this kernel since I need 32bitness and this laptop has 4G mem) -> Using pci=nomsi solved resume issues etie...@mubuntu:~$ lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available.
