[Bug 221196] Re: Cannot change keyboard layout on gnome-keyboard-properties
Since the actual Hardy release, I no longer get an error message, but the layout still does not set correctly. Layout: United Kingdom Variant: Default I set the layout to this ^, and all appears fine, but when typing, some keys produce the wrong character, as if it were the US layout. I tried logging out and in again, but this made no difference. Please see the attached screenshot. The keyboard layout is selected as United Kingdom, but in the test text box, I typed \@ (double quote, backslash, at) but it appears as @| (at, pipe, double quote). Also, this was done using a live CD. On my system which I upgraded from Gutsy, I do not have a problem. ** Attachment added: key_prefs_wrong layout.png http://launchpadlibrarian.net/14256357/key_prefs_wrong%20layout.png -- Cannot change keyboard layout on gnome-keyboard-properties https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/221196 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
