[Bug 1722747] [NEW] Update TAI-UTC offset

2017-10-11 Thread esver
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 17.04
linuxptp 1.8-1

A leap second was applied to UTC on 2016-12-31 and the offset between TAI and
UTC is now 37 seconds.
In the version 1.8, the offset is 36 seconds.

Can you apply the patch
https://sourceforge.net/p/linuxptp/code/ci/0309a880fb4389e869ae0ba431d3d17b1ec5a272/
to set the new UTC offset to 37 seconds ?

[Bug 554592] Re: need to change the init script with update-rc.d

2010-04-03 Thread esver
In ubuntu jaunty,
netbase 4.34 postinst script is :
update-rc.d networking start 40 S . start 35 0 6 .

and after,
netbase 4.35 postinst script is :
update-rc.d networking start 35 0 6 .

I think the line update-rc.d needs to be changed in the openswan package
according to the new netbase package.

[Bug 554592] [NEW] need to change the init script with update-rc.d

2010-04-03 Thread esver
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openswan

Description:Ubuntu lucid (development branch)
Release:10.04
openswan:
  Installé : 1:2.6.23+dfsg-1ubuntu1
  Candidat : 1:2.6.23+dfsg-1ubuntu1
 Table de version :
 *** 1:2.6.23+dfsg-1ubuntu1 0
500 http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/universe Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Openswan doesn't start correctly at boot on ubuntu 9.04 and 10.04 (and debian
lenny). It seems that it's the order of the boot script that is wrong : perhaps
that openswan is starting before that the lan is up.

I've 2 solution : use the command "/etc/init.d/ipsec restart" manualy at each
boot :
ipsec_setup: Stopping Openswan IPsec...
ipsec_setup: Removing orphaned /var/run/pluto/pluto.pid:
ipsec_setup: Starting Openswan IPsec U2.6.23/K2.6.32-19-generic-pae...

Or change the startup of openswan with this 2 commands :
update-rc.d -f ipsec remove :
Removing any system startup links for /etc/init.d/ipsec ...
/etc/rc0.d/K34ipsec
/etc/rc6.d/K34ipsec
/etc/rcS.d/S41ipsec

update-rc.d ipsec defaults
Adding system startup for /etc/init.d/ipsec ...
/etc/rc0.d/K20ipsec -> ../init.d/ipsec
/etc/rc1.d/K20ipsec -> ../init.d/ipsec
/etc/rc6.d/K20ipsec -> ../init.d/ipsec
/etc/rc2.d/S20ipsec -> ../init.d/ipsec
/etc/rc3.d/S20ipsec -> ../init.d/ipsec
/etc/rc4.d/S20ipsec -> ../init.d/ipsec
/etc/rc5.d/S20ipsec -> ../init.d/ipsec

This can be reproduced by just installing of openswan and search his pid
after boot.

[Bug 438070] [NEW] [Karmic] Please fix the pre-9xx chipset flush

2009-09-28 Thread esver
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint:linux-image-2.6.31-11-generic
1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'lsb_release -rd' or System ->
About Ubuntu.

o...@rahan:~$ lsb_release -rd
Description:Ubuntu karmic (development branch)
Release:9.10

2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy
packagename' or by checking in Synaptic.

o...@rahan:~$ apt-cache policy linux-image-2.6.31-11-generic
linux-image-2.6.31-11-generic:
  Installé : 2.6.31-11.36
  Candidat : 2.6.31-11.36
 Table de version :
 *** 2.6.31-11.36 0
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

3) What you expected to happen

Use normaly my computer.

4) What happened instead

The screen display freeze and the computer stops responding to all keyboard
input. It is possible to move the cursor with the mouse, but clicking does not
do anything. The Num Lock does not make the respective kerboard LED go on or
off.
It can log in with ssh.

# What frequency does it occur? Just once? Hourly? Daily?

In one to ten minute after the start of the computer.

I've resolved it by patching the ubuntu kernel source with this :
https://svn.pardus.org.tr/pardus/playground/fatih/2009/kernel/files/drm/intel/0001-agp-intel-Fix-the-pre-9xx-chipset-flush.patch
The other solution was to use the Xorg vesa driver.
