[Bug 1674532] Re: glibc update caused NSS ABI break

2017-03-22 Thread fariazz
My bad, I'm in 15.04.

Any workaround to make things work again?

This is causing severe problems on our end so any advise would be
welcome.

[Bug 1674532] Re: glibc update caused NSS ABI break

2017-03-22 Thread fariazz
I'm having this problem in 14.04 since yesterday, where all my DNS
resolutions take forever, some timeout. I've restarted several times.

This has broken many integrations in our site, is there anything that
can be done to make things work?

This is the version of libc6 that I have:

[Bug 1511247] Re: Ubuntu 15.10 Could not apply the stored configuration for monitors

2016-03-30 Thread fariazz
I tried what deleting ~/.config/monitors.xml on startup, but it seems to
be re-created when you plug/unplug the second monitor.

What works for me is removing the file on startup, but also created a
cron job that runs every 2 minutes and deletes this too.

So when I unplug the screen, before I plug it back, the file will
already be gone and my session won't crash.

2015-03-03 Thread fariazz
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1395635 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1395635

Actually it's working now. I tried these two things (not sure what fixed
it). I get audio but still get those errors in the log (that's why I
kept on trying things but apparently one of these fixed it, or maybe the
combination)

I did this:

1 - open a terminal and type: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:sunab/kdenlive-release
2 - sudo apt-get update
3 - sudo apt-get install libmlt6
4 - sudo apt-get install libmlt++3

Then I did this: https://askubuntu.com/questions/541635/no-audio-in-
rendered-video-files/548279

[Bug 1037538] Re: kazam is not able to finish video recording when sound recording is enabled

2012-11-07 Thread fariazz
I just tried with the latest unstable one (1.3.3 for 386) and after a 8
min recording pressed stop, I didn't get the save as window either, I
also tried with the new automatic file saving option in the
preferences and it didn't get saved either, only a .movie and a .mux
temporary files were left.

Tried with MP4 and with the option raw/avi. Using my usb chat
headphones with mic that work perfectly on Skype and all other programs.

So after getting DEBUG GStreamer - Sending new EOS event I don't get
anything else in the log and no save as window is shown. In the tray
area, Quit and Record Setup are grayed out, leaving active Stop
recording and Pause recording. Nothing happens when I click on them.

2012-11-04 Thread fariazz
I'm having this same bug. Ubuntu 12.10 64 bits. Using USB Headset to
record which works fine on Skype.

When clicing on Finish recording nothing happens many times, sometimes
it works fine.. usually after a system reboot it works fine the first
time.

In the log below I ran kazam -d, picked my options (MP4, sound from USB
chat set), recorded once successfully, then picked cancel, started
recording again (same settings) and the second time it failed.. as you
see there is no error messsage at the end:

[Bug 940912] Re: distribution update crashed

2012-03-09 Thread fariazz
There were two things I had done that same week that could explain why
this was happening, since after I changed that, it never happened again:

-when installing Jetbrains PHP I changed the default java program from
openjdk to Sun's java. When I reverted this, I was able to download
and install the updates, nevertheless I was still having similar error
messages when running other programs.

-I had just added 4 GB of RAM but I hadn't increased the swap partition.
After I did this, I never had memory allocation errors again.

So it was most likely not a bug..

Thanks for the help.

[Bug 940912] [NEW] distribution update crashed

2012-02-25 Thread fariazz
Public bug reported:

1)
Description:Ubuntu 11.10
Release:11.10

2)
It was during an automatic distribution upgrade on the 25/02/2012, I don't know
the name of the package that triggers this.

3)
I expected the updates to download and install properly as they usually do.

4)
They downloaded ok. Then when installing, I got the following error message.
I've attached the files in /var/log/dist-upgrade and in /etc/apt in case it
helps.

Please report this as a bug (if you haven't already) and include the files
/var/log/dist-upgrade/main.log and /var/log/dist-upgrade/apt.log in your

[Bug 476153] [NEW] [Hewlett-Packard HP Pavilion tx2000 Notebook PC] hibernation doesnt work, it gets stacked in blank screen

2009-11-05 Thread fariazz
Public bug reported:

hibernation doesnt work, it gets stacked in blank screen when I select
Hibernate, the laptop wont turn off so i have to turn it off manually.

suspention works perfectly (that's the difference with the rest of the
similar bugs reported), except for the webcam, but that's another story.

ProblemType: KernelOops
Annotation: This occured during a previous hibernate and prevented it from
resuming properly. The resume processing hung very near the end and will have
appeared to have completed normally.
