[Bug 1511247] Re: Ubuntu 15.10 Could not apply the stored configuration for monitors
I tried what deleting ~/.config/monitors.xml on startup, but it seems to be re-created when you plug/unplug the second monitor. [Bug 940912] Re: distribution update crashed
There were two things I had done that same week that could explain why this was happening, since after I changed that, it never happened again: -when installing Jetbrains PHP I changed the default java program from openjdk to Sun's java. When I reverted this, I was able to download and install the updates, nevertheless I was still having similar error messages when running other programs. -I had just added 4 GB of RAM but I hadn't increased the swap partition. After I did this, I never had memory allocation errors again. So it was most likely not a bug.. Public bug reported: 1) Description:Ubuntu 11.10 Release:11.10 2) It was during an automatic distribution upgrade on the 25/02/2012, I don't know the name of the package that triggers this. 3) I expected the updates to download and install properly as they usually do. 4) They downloaded ok.
