I can confirm this behaviour too. My wireless WPA Enterprise connection data are stored in plaintext in the gconf-edior and every time I get disconnected, I have to insert my login data (username, password, no certificate) again.
I am using the Gutsy network-manager 0.6.5-ubuntu16. I also have the same problem as the DickeyWang reportet with the bug #124336 (with iw3945). This bug exists since Festy and is in my opinion a security risk and very anoying!
